I'll check the spreadsheet today/tomorrow + all of our shelves - but I'd say no to listing the Uno cards it works for. The spreadsheet should be fine and I don't think we'll have to replace any books.

Just make sure the mini challenge books apply to uno rules and let us know the letters it can cover :)

That being said - we have one week left for this month and only 16 more books to cover in the mini challenge!! :) Well done everyone!

Yay, we finally got some green cards!

I have three books that I am likely to finish this week that cover the letters we need for the mini challenge, so we should be good. I know I am not the only one- I am looking at you, Marie.

It wouldn't be too bad if you finished one or two of them in April either, Jenny ;)

So yeah, loads of coloured cards (and Reverses!) in April, but I'm sure we'll make it work somehow. As always, please let us know if you can cover any of those "special" cards :)

I do plan to keep an eye out. If we don't need the books I am close to finishing for March, I will keep the last few pages for April.

I just found 2 books on Dima's uno shelf that we didn't know about yet and added them to our mini challenge sheet which leaves us with ONE spot (L) and that one can be covered by Dima's current book as well.

so there seems to be no need for anybody to rush through another book before April :) (hopefully. or unless you really really want to haha!)

Cool. There are a couple of books that I started in January that I can work on instead.

This is my favorite part. I went through my bookshelves tonight, and I found a book to cover every color card we were dealt.
I am not claiming all of them, of course, but we won't be missing anything this month either.

I am going to start with by Frederic Durbin to cover green 4.

Looking forward to April. My pile of to be read books looks like so much fun.

I have 2 blue books I definitely want to read in April:

I just updated the spreadsheet with Dima's Keepsake (as far as I've seen it was the only one missing), and the March Mini is officially done!!

I'll have another look over everything later to make sure there aren't any mistakes. But as far as I'm concerned we can just lean back for the next 2 days and get ready for April :)

Does anybody have or know of a book that fits both 5 and 8 BLUE?

I thought I found one, but the weird audiobook cover that becomes the default cover rule negates it.
(Title + character). I recently bought the audio version of this, with this cover. I read this a hundred years ago, and it is wonderful.

I will keep looking.

I do have one that works for blue 5 and 8 wouldn't be able to get to it straight away

whatever i read over the weekend I will finish off on Monday if it works for challenge

We want it for both because we have a Draw 2 in a hand with two blue books :) if it fits both cards (5 & 8 in our case), we only have to read one book for two card spots :)

The book I've just started can count for 4 Blue or 5 Blue. Not sure if it will work for 8 as well. but I'll keep an eye out.

Question for the captains-
The book I am currently reading has a lengthy portion in it that is basically a Tourneau (Jacobean playwright) play being put on by some of the characters in the book. The plot of the play, and the action in the play echo what is going on in the book, and is a pretty essential part of the book. My question, for the purposes of uno cards, is can I use the names of the Tourneau characters as well as the names of the regular characters in the book? It probably will add only a couple of cards to what works for this book, but I am curious.

Hm I'd say no, as it's a play being put on by the characters in the book. But it won't hurt to ask in the captain's group :) I'll post the question in there later

Too bad. They are really cool names like Vindice, Hippolito, and Lussurioso. Now I have to find out if there is a production of Tourneur's A Revenger's Tragedy to watch on line. This looks like a truly weird play.

Only a couple more hours until April officially starts for the uno challenge!! :)
