The Perks Of Being A Book Addict discussion

Tam Lin is based on a Scottish folk ballad, with a girl saving a boy from faery. This version takes place in a liberal arts college in Minnesota in the seventies. If you went to a small college, or wanted to, this will enchant you.
Anyway, that is my unasked for recommendation. I love this book so much, I want everyone to read it. I'm sure we all have books like that.

I must have two Christinas on my friend list. Never mind.

I am so observant. It is Christine, not Christina. My bad.

(I always find stuff like this distracting. It takes me right out of the story and into questioning why the author chose to do it).

It's funny, as much as I loved Tam Lin, I have never read another Pamela Dean book in my life. I'm going to rectify that ASAP. :)
EDIT - Except apparently a book about Beekeeping that I own and love too. :)

Whatever you do, skip Juniper, Gentian, and something. Not a good book.

Mrs. P----- should work since Mrs. P works as a nickname as well, and so do "normal" names starting with P. It still is her name, no matter how it's "written", if that makes any sense ;)

I looked it up on tineye, and it was listed as yellow.

not if the cover is actually golden..."
I do have a copy of this book, and it is a yellow gold. But, I am crying foul if it doesn't work for a yellow card. We can't follow the tineye ruling for some books and not others. I set aside

to read later because tineye lists it as brown, even though it is clearly a shade of red. I want a rule that is consistent please.

I loved rereading The Moral Landscape anyway, but I did read it with this challenge in mind. And it would be lovely if the one I am reading now would work for a color card. I guess I would just like some consistency. Perhaps a rule tweak for the next time this game is played.
