Daniela Zekotic | 923 comments so it seems that only #68 first published on the 29th isn't being covered? I haven't found a book for that one so far.. will stalk other spreadsheets.

Also, I encourage everyone to check their shelves to see if all their April books are shelved! I'll have a look over everything on Monday

Jenny | 2346 comments I have started a book for #68- published on the 29th- Six of Crows.
But, if someone else has one to read, I wouldn't mind taking my time on this one, it is starting out fun.

Please let me know. I would be happy to look for anything else we are missing.

Daniela Zekotic | 923 comments Not many cards left now :)

#18 - estranged siblings - Nikki said she'd take that one. How's it going with the book? :)

#27 Humor MPG - Laura is reading that one?

#38 - title with H - I'll most likely finish this by tomorrow.

# 64 . natural disaster - Jenny I think?

#68 - first published on the 29th - Kirsten or Jenny?

And we already have one book that isn't being used yet for the bonus round, if we manage to fill all the cards :)

message 1110: by Kirsten (new)

Looks like we have two unused books already that can be used for the bonus round. (Mine & Marie's)

message 1112: by Jenny (new)

Jenny | 2346 comments Kirsten, cool. I am going to savor Six of Crows, and read something else for a potential bonus this weekend.

as it's all drawings, I'd say no to tall objects

does it fit for any other card? I have Emma in the #29 spot atm. But you also only gave us one reason for that one. Would be great if any of those two books work for an additional card :)

edit. does the book take place in Australia for most of the story? #28 could be also a fit

message 1117: by Jenny (new)

Jenny | 2346 comments Regarding Emma, it has been a while since I read it, but it probably could work for #11- character goes for a walk, (everyone walks in Austen books), #3- there is a party- (there is usually a ball as well).
I am reaching here, but there is probably a road trip, and I want to say that one of the characters is a teacher. Marie?

message 1118: by Jenny (new)

Jenny | 2346 comments I could read The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe (The Chronicles of Narnia, #1) by C.S. Lewis today to cover estranged siblings reconnect if Nikki doesnt think she will finish her book.
Or, whatever else we are missing.

There are mostly definitely walks (Emma and Harriet walk through town; Emma and Harriet take regular walks around the grounds) and and parties (there is a ball and also Emma gets married and there is a party) in Emma! Good catch!

So far so good. I'm intrigued by this series as each book takes one of 7 older orphan girls (written by 7 different authors) and expands on how they find out their family story following the fire of their orphanage.

message 1121: by Laura (last edited Apr 28, 2018 01:40PM) (new)

Laura | 1144 comments I can start a back-up book and/or possible bonus book for estranged siblings. It has been on my to-read list and I'm sure there will be something else to pair it with from the list.

I'm house-bound taking care of one of my dogs who had surgery, so it's a good time to read. I've already cleaned out the pantry, wiped everything down, and re-organized. Same for the refrigerator, and 2 of the kitchen drawers that needed it. I could start on the other cabinets, but I really don't want to tackle them. I'd rather cuddle on the couch with the pups and a book. Soooo...reading!!

If something else needs to covered, please let me know. :)

I hope your puppy is doing well. I spent my morning cleaning also, and my advice is to stop doing that, and relax. I am going to finish reading A Child Across the Sky today, perhaps for the challenge, perhaps just because reading a Jonathan Carroll book is a joy.

Sounds good. I will fill in the info for my one bonus book (should we get to the bonus) when we have an idea of what tasks the 4th book will cover as The Wind in the Door can cover quite a few tasks.

Will wait a bit on #38 as Daniela said she was covering it... also waiting on Christina to finish her book for #43. (but if need be we can cover #38 with your "Head On" just means some jostling plus maybe another book by anyone or pulling a book out of our bonus list)
(EDITED)

Head On won't work for #43, it has nothing to do with music. If I listed that task number with it, it was a typo. Looking at my worksheet, it would work for #s 15, 24, 38 and 70.

I don't know when tomorrow the challenge ends, given the different time zones, so I just wanted to see if I could cover something.

oops I said 43 but meant 38 (starting with an H)

& for now, given the differing time zones of our own team, I don't have any more answers as to who will or will not complete the tasks they've committed themselves to, unfortunately. Now I am off to bed as it is nearly 1am here.

Besides, I love reading about Shasta and Bree on their way to Narnia.
