I have a few books that will work for the Musca slot, but knowing my speed of reading I don't want to claim the slot now if someone else can get to it sooner! (I am off work today, tomorrow & monday though so hoping to get through a book or two at least).

Also don't forget to add it to your uno shelf too! :)

Jenny | 2346 comments Hi again,
I was looking over all of your "read" book lists to see if there were more books I would want to read for current and future reverse cards, and I found a few.

Then I looked at my "read" list, and realized that it is over two thousand books long. So, I made a new category called "books my team might like", and filled that list with books that many of you may enjoy. There are even some with the Uno colored covers as an added bonus.

So, use the list, or don't, but if you are looking for something wonderful that you haven't encountered yet, there are some really good ones there.

Laura | 1144 comments I'm not sure I'll get much reading in this weekend, but I'm hoping to get a couple hours of reading in on the train tomorrow as long my husband doesn't expect me to talk to him an hour each way. lol We are going into the city to see the Downton Abbey Exhibit and a Nat Geo Ocean Odyssey exhibit.

Jenny | 2346 comments I have been trying to find a connection for One Grave Too Many (Diane Fallon Forensic Investigation, #1) by Beverly Connor among the 2nd challenge books. The main setting is in a natural history museum, the main character is a forensic anthropologist. Finally I realized that the story takes place in Georgia, and so does Gone with the Wind, which is on team Tucana's list. Think that will work?

Laura | 1144 comments OK, I've procrastinated way too much picking out an audiobook that wasn't super long but would still count! I figure that I should listen to something as I clean the house today and squeeze in another book.

I'm starting
Knit One, Kill Two (A Knitting Mystery, #1) by Maggie Sefton
which connects to Hydrus because
Casting Spells (Sugar Maple, #1) by Barbara Bretton
both involve knitting and have knitting needles on the cover.

I really liked it, but I was spoiled a long time ago, so it didn't hit me as much as everyone say. Although I enjoyed the funny parts quite a lot it was a 3.5stars reading for me.

OK,thanks for checking. That makes no sense to me with this example from the mini-challenge:

"For example: Someone on Team A has read A Man Called Ove. The cover has a man and a cat on the cover. Someone from Team B can then read a book with either of those two things on the cover (or both), like for example Storm Front, which also has a single man on the cover."

It really doesn't seem different to me. A man on the cover and a man on the cover. A man and woman on the cover, a man and woman on the cover.

Hmm my previous reply to this seems to have vanished. I was using my phone so probably didn't help.

No worries, I wasn't probably as clear as I could have been. I am still trying to wrap my head around what works and doesn't for the mini challenge. It seems with matching pictures to pictures on covers we are pretty safe. When it comes to matching words it is more challenging. While matching a full title to another full title is fine, and matching an author to themselves, same first names and/or same surnames is also fine. Matching part of a title or part of a word is apparently where they draw the line. Then there is possibly something like matching settings need to be the same area, so we couldn't match Las Vegas with New York by saying they are both in the USA...but that gets into my foggy territory lol

Laura | 1144 comments So then is set in England OK? In Part 2, one of my books has that for a reason on our spreadsheet for Sculptor.

Wait, their example of Ove being set in Sweden and another book being set in Sweden is an example. Maybe it is because the U.S. is so large?

...states being the same would be a reasonable connection. Simply because the States as a whole are huge compared to other countries. Just as you could use England or Wales as a connection but not the United Kingdom (as it is a global term for the whole island, encompassing several countries). "

We are good with just plain set in England. Yay!
