Dead Guilty by Beverly Connor
For second part of the mini challenge this could work for three teams. There is a silhouette of a tree on the cover. Team Triangulum has A Court of Thrones and Roses, and team Saturn has American Gods, both with trees. Or, I can link this one to Tucana's Gone With the Wind again, as again, they both take place in Georgia.

I was shamelessly stalking team spreadsheets the other day for ideas for my next book that could work for the mini challenge part 2.
I decided to copy Christina and read Wishful Drinking and I actually enjoyed it much more than I expected. She was such a funny lady and it is such a waste that she died so young

Regarding the mini challenge: Will we get part 1 done? There are only 2 books missing. Nikki? Jenny? If you think you won't get done in time, maybe someone else wants to read for it :)

I should be good on reading mine. I’m confident I can finish it by the end of the month, along with the other book I’m currently reading.

I ask because I technically started Norse mythology (I’ve read like five pages) but I’m thinking I’m gonna finish it in March and it was started after the challenge start date so I’m wondering if I can potentialy use it if it fits a card for March since that’s the month I’m finishing it in.

so for the challenge only books started in March count, but once you start one in March you can always take it over to April or May.
Did you shelf the book as "currently reading" already? because it seems like you only took a quick sneak peek at it, not really started reading

I shelved it as currently reading on Feb 6th, but like you said I didn’t really start it yet. Just peaked at the first couple pages.

Planning to still be playing Uno in May? You may be a bit lonely :P

That should be fine. There is a couple of us who also started a book (& are a bit further than you are) this month and are holding off finishing it until March to use with the March cards. Basically any book started on or after Feb 1st can be used in the Month (Feb, Mar, or Apr) when the book is finished being read.

Lol thought so!

Yes, I will finish mine today.

All I can think of is that Emma Watson starred in the movie, and she starred in Harry Potter. I know I saw HP on one or two of the teams, but sorry, I don't recall which ones.

I don't why I feel the need to clarify the clarification, but...
for audiobooks, you use the default edition?
If I've already changed it to the audiobook version, how do I tell which is the default? Is it just whichever one is at the top of the editions list?

Yes I found the same! You were much quicker though

On the Origin of Species (default cover) has a monkey and palm trees, and links to Kuiper's Congo (palm leaves), Hydrus' The Jungle Book (monkey), and Pyxis' She Rides Shotgun (palm tree).

Out of the Silent Planet was written by C.S. Lewis, who taught at Cambridge. This links to Saturn's The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, as Douglas Adams went to Cambridge, plus they both take place in space.
Also,

potentially links to Betelgeuse's Artemis, as that has the moon on the cover, and therefore is part of our solar system, as is Pluto. Bit of a stretch, this one. Help?

Yes the "default" edition is the first one (that isn't an audiobook) when you go to the list of all the editions shown together.
The rules change yet again a bit if you go back and forth between an audiobook and a physical book while reading. Then you can put either edition (the physical book you read) or the audiobook edition on your shelf. (disregarding the default edition - apparently - unless I misunderstood and you have the choice between the default and the physical copy you read). Not sure I understand why this change is allowed but that was the answer I got when I asked the question about flipping between editions (what I do frequently)...

I was eating lunch and grading literary essays. I needed a break from books, so I turned to books. lol
