Team Gone with the books

No. We just keep track of any book that might fit the detour. I think our other group member, Sunshine, wanted to see whether we could get more points if we had a certain amount done.

oooo perfect! I was actually thinking of reading the Odyssey for this challenge but realized it would take me a while to get through it!

OMG I almost missed this comment!!. I just hated the characters!! Glad it wasn't just me. But they just seemed so dumb and immoral and there was no redeeming quality about any one of them!

I read Homer in high school on my own. The unabridged version. And yeah took me a while to get through it. And I won't lie i skimmed the parts about the people and how many boats they had :( it was too long!! But I still have that copy and excessive amounts of notes and definitions I had on there was just depressing.

Yeah, I read it on my own in November 2 years ago, but didn't read the entire things.

you can either read a book for the detour or you can wait until we start the new stop. Once people finish their books they will usually leave a comment and so we keep track that way.

No clue!

Yes, we get extra points. The rules are in the first tab in the worksheet. --A detour requires at least 4 members of the team to complete that goal before the detour is considered complete.
If 4 of us read, then 25. If 7 members read, then extra 15, if all the members of the team read, then extra 10 points.

Sure.

Awesome!! did you add to the excel sheet or would you like me to add it?

Nine Days In Greece by Kristie Dickinson - completed on 03/08
I think I added it to the Excel sheets...

Awesome!! did you add to the excel sheet or would you like me to add it?"
I already added it :)

@ Michelle: At the moment we are 9 team members, but I wouldn't care to have 10 team members. What do the others think?

If you click on the link at the end of the message you will see a spreadsheet that Sunshine created for us with all our members, stop, books read, and point calculations. I've inserted your name under "4. Bilbao (ES) - Patrai (GR)" so once you complete the book please write down what book you read for the challenge and the date completed.
Let me know if you need any clarification or have any questions!

I also noticed that Wolf (alpha) and Kavitha weren't added to the team so i message the travel agent and let her know. I also asked to remove Patty, Minnie and Am

Just thought I would ask :)

I think we're ready to for spell out
On the 3rd tab, I placed Bahrain

Next Stop!
Bahrain:
Bahrain (/bɑːˈreɪn/ (About this sound listen); Arabic: البحرين al-Baḥrayn IPA: [aɫ baħrajn] (About this sound listen)), officially the Kingdom of Bahrain (Arabic: مملكة البحرين About this sound Mamlakat al-Baḥrayn), is an Arab constitutional monarchy in the Persian Gulf. It is an island country consisting of a small archipelago centered around Bahrain Island, situated between the Qatar peninsula and the north eastern coast of Saudi Arabia, to which it is connected by the 25-kilometre (16 mi) King Fahd Causeway. Bahrain's population is 1,234,571 (c. 2010), including 666,172 non-nationals.[8] It is 765.3 square kilometres (295.5 sq mi) in size, making it the third-smallest nation in Asia after the Maldives and Singapore.[9]
Bahrain is the site of the ancient Dilmun civilisation.[10] It has been famed since antiquity for its pearl fisheries, which were considered the best in the world into the 19th century.[11] Bahrain was one of the earliest areas to convert to Islam (ad 628). Following a period of Arab rule, Bahrain was occupied by the Portuguese in 1521, who in turn were expelled in 1602 by Shah Abbas I of the Safavid dynasty under the Persian Empire. In 1783, the Bani Utbah clan captured Bahrain from Nasr Al-Madhkur and it has since been ruled by the Al Khalifa royal family, with Ahmed al Fateh as Bahrain's first hakim. In the late 1800s, following successive treaties with the British, Bahrain became a protectorate of the United Kingdom. In 1971, Bahrain declared independence. Formerly an emirate, Bahrain was declared a Kingdom in 2002. In 2011, the country experienced protests inspired by the regional Arab Spring.[12]
Bahrain had the first post-oil economy in the Persian Gulf.[13] Since the late 20th century, Bahrain has invested in the banking and tourism sectors.[14] Many large financial institutions have a presence in Manama, the country's capital. Bahrain has a high Human Development Index and was recognized by the World Bank as a high-income economy.
