I made a friend when I did the book pal.

Seems our Pick it for me is growing and more taking part in the buddy read with 10-20 people.
We will have to gauge the popularity, Book Pals was so popular when we started it, but due to some not getting involved once adding the names it became frustrating for our regular and active Bool Pals.
Please PM Lorrea let her know if you are interested.

I'd be interested! I've participated in a lot of Book Pals before and loved every bit of it. The best part about doing the same book with multiple people is how you get different POVs about the same situation and some of them you didn't even think about! It's always an interesting way to identify the uniqueness of opinions and diversities of perspectives.And if we get enough people interested, we can maybe do the same book in a group and turn this into a virtual book club sort of thing where we read the same book in a group and meet here once a month or a once a week to discuss.

There it explains how the whole thing works. I'm giving other members the rest of the week to sign up and let us know they are interested and on Monday on the above mentioned thread I will post the PALS. Once PALS are chosen, there will be a separate thread to discuss the books chosen. We will keep the same PALS until the end of middle of September.

For our new members here is a brief description of Book Pals: You will be randomly paired with another member, and you will decide together how you will do your Book Pal reading. Maybe you will both pick the same book to read and discuss or you will pick a book you have already read that your Pal hasn't to share and discuss. You can pick one book that will last the entire Month/Season, by opting to read a chapter a day. You and your Pal make the rules and Have Fun!!! You can chat through Personal Message, but I encourage you to post your thoughts in the Book Pals--Post Your Thoughts thread(remember to conceal spoilers). If you don't post while reading, please let us know when you are finished, your thoughts on the book(s) you have read.
Please comment below if you are interested. If we have enough interested by the end of the week, I will set up a thread for sign up and we can start over in February. I think it will be best to do month to month now and maybe later do it just for the summer. We'll see. All feedback is welcome and appreciated!!
