1. The Draconis Memoria (I read the first two chapters awhile ago, and realllyyyy loved the writing, but I'm waiting until I can commit some more time to reading them).
2. The Broken Earth Trilogy.
3. Long Price Quartet. I *really* hope that I'm among the people who love these books, but I have no idea what to expect haha.

2. Memory, Sorrow, and Thorn
3. Codex Alera or Broken Empire... but here I am less keen to start as for 1. and 2. :D
Admittedly, the series I’m most excited to start often changes from week to week, but luckily there have been a few I’ve been eager to get to for several months now:
Malice is the first in the Faithful and the Fallen fantasy series that many of you are losing your shit over. It’s evidently a slow burn, multiple POV series that sounds right up my alley.
Burn for Me is the first book in the Hidden Legacy series by Ilona Andrews and it seems to be getting the same amount of positive attention as her Kate Daniels series. As I am now a Kate Daniels super fan, I’m going to trust everybody who says to ignore the super ridiculous & cheesy covers and look forward to diving into more works by these brilliant authors.
Unclean Spirits is the first book of The Black Sun’s Daughter Series by MLN Hanover… A pen name for an author you may recognize as Daniel Abraham or one half of James S. A. Corey. Because I absolutely loved the Long Price Quartet and the Expanse series, respectively, I am hoping this urban fantasy will also knock my socks off. I can’t wait!
Honorable Mentions (meaning I’ve already started them this year): Unhewn Throne by Brian Staveley & Malazan by Erikson/Esselmont
Via The Obsessive Bookseller

1. The Black Magician trilogy by Trudi Canavan.
2. Symphony of Ages by Elizabeth Haydon.
3. Bone Universe by Fran Wilde.
Mostly want to start them because they are all completed series and I own all the books in audio.

I've read half of it already, but I mean to finish the Witcher Series by Andrzej Sapkowski
And finally the Ryria Revelations by Michael J. Sullivan because it's about time I do.

2. Mistborn era 2
3. Grishaverse (Six of Crows duology to start)
Among many others!
PS. Bill, I loved the Black Magician trilogy! I hope it's still as good as I remember :)

Not that you need any extra pressure Liam, but I've heard that anyone who doesn't like LPQ is banned from the group! In seriousness though, I think anyone who enjoys well thought-out fantasy and good literature will love the series.

Inda
The Diabolic
Burn for Me

The Ember Blade Ember Blade
Beyond Redemption Manifest Delusions
Hope and Red Empire of Storms
The Garden of Stones Echoes of Empire
The Shadow of What Was Lost The Licanius Trilogy

That would be fabulous! :) I'm planning to read the three Innkeeper books first, so I was thinking April would be a good month to read Burn for Me. How does that sound?

April would be perfect. :)

April ..."
Sweet! I'll get it ready. :) It looks like the 15th or the 25th would be good... hows about adding the other two books for the following months. Too much?

Niki, if we set then around the 25th , I could do one per month. :)

For Manifest Delusions, I could commit on July/August/September around the 25th or later months. Would that work?
Before that I don't have much space available anymore.

Also hoping to start The Shadow Campaigns & I just started Raven's Shadow in 2018, so that counts too.

I can do any of those. We'll see what Samir says.

1. The Faithful and the Fallen
2. The Witcher
3. The Shadow Campaigns

"
Cool!"
I'm cool with any of those.

I think I will, but I already have three buddy reads in April so I may have to drop something.

Let's aim for one book for month?
July 25th
August 25th
September 25th
If it works for you both, I will ask the mods to create the threads. :)

Works for me.

1. Malazan Book of the Fallen (currently reading the first book and really enjoying it)
2. Inda--I don't really know anything about this, but it sounds really interesting and I'm exciting to start it.
3. The Shadow Campaigns--these look really, really good.
I love how many of the series we've listed are already planned buddy reads. We all have great tastes in books.

That we do ;)
That we do ;)

I'm doing it with the group. I think the BR is in March? Hopefully you have some time but I guess it depends on when finish school. :)

2. Riyria the first 6 books (publication order) and Moontide Quartet, I swear I couldn't pick one so #cheater but since I already started BoTF at time of posting...
3. Inda
EDIT...ok kill Malazan since I already started it. I just saw Siobhan's post...so my final list is
1. Stormlight
2. Moontide
3. Riyria with Inda as honourable mention

It was hard to choose! I'm excited for Moontide and Riyria too xD
Similar list to everyone else, since I only have my Buddy Reads to pick from, really:
1) Malazan -- just finished the first one
2) Riyria -- Buddy Read in May
3) Honey Badgers -- ridiculous PNR spinoff starting in March
Honorable Mention: Stars Uncharted... not sure if this is a series or standalone, but with Linesman cancelled, I'm interested to see what they write next (I really liked Linesman/Allience/Confluence)

Sounds good.

I'm looking the most forward to this. The main reason I didn't start this yet is because the final book is still to come out later this year
2. Chronicles of the Unhewn Throne (Brian Staveley) --> I started the first book (75% done)
3. Raven's Shadow (Anthony Ryan)

Will you be joining the group read. I hope so. Do come!
*tug*

will check the schedule. :)

2) The Drenai Saga

And honorable mention to Long Price Quartet. I'm not sure I'll manage to read it in 2018 though.

The Way of Kings - The Stormlight Archive
The Shadow of What Was Lost - The Licanius Trilogy
