When does Mark find out Eliza is a Vampire?

Tall At what point (book, chapter) does Mark find out Eliza is a Vampire?

I see him mention Eliza is a Vampire midway through book 3.
However I don't see him mention in the narrative in book 1, 2 or book 3 about finding out she's a Vampire. Of course we know because it's in the prologue of book 2, but I don't see where *he* finds out.
