Right; starting today - on time for once!

Prologue and 2 chapters in. That prologue is chilling!

I'm tearing through this as I have to know what happens! Gretel is a terrifyingly crazy bitch! It was disturbing when we saw in the earlier books how Klaus felt about her and she's coldly contemplating bumping him off!

I hope Marsh-from-the-future doesn't inadvertently make things worse (I know it's harder to get 'worse' than the end of the world, but...).

It's so dark and fast and I have to confess I'm loving it!

Wow! I finished it because I couldn't stop reading, and I'm blinking like an owl in the daylight at the end. That was just.... (speechless!)

I'm totally up for a chapter by chapter dissection of this book - it was amazing!

I agree! (view spoiler)[ I was transfixed during the air-raid in Coventry; it was bad enough when they lost Agnes in the first book, if Gretel had got away with killing Liv as well I think I would've been screaming 'Kill her! Kill the bitch!' when the older Marsh next confronted her.

I thought it was interesting that she hadn't factored the older Marsh saving them into her plans and that destroyed her belief in her own powers. I wonder if Gretel's fatal flaw in the end was that as she didn't have any empathy for people at all, she didn't understand how normal people responded to events.
