I don't see mention of Slade ever on this site. I guess perhaps some may consider his books to fall under "thrillers" rather than "horror" but let me tell you, his books are horrifying. He's a Canadian writer whose books all feature the Canadian Mounties and each book has them hunting a different serial killer who is the typically the sickest, scariest serial killer you can imagine. Headhunter, Ghoul and Ripper are three of his first books. If you think a sick, twisted, serial killer who-dun-it sounds like your kind of thing you should seriously check him out. You'll thank me later...

I tried reading Headhunter but the paperback I owned had the tiniest print and the pages were falling out, so I put it aside expecting to pick it up later. The opening chapter is horrifying.

I've read quite a few of his books.
Ghoul is one sick ride. A whole lotta fun.

Ghoul freaked me out!

I need to give him another try. Years and years ago I tried reading something of his (can't remember what), but remember not being able to get interested in it.
