Jason Oliver | 3047 comments I found this and wanted to share it.

LibriVox is free audiobooks in the public domain. Volunteers read and record chapters of books. This is a great way to get free audiobooks for books published before 1923 which are hard to find sometimes.

Also, if you are interested in reading for audiobooks, here is a way.

Thanks Jason. I have listened to some audiobooks through their website and found them to be well done, all things considered.

Jason Oliver | 3047 comments Yes, I'm listening to The Vicomte of Bragelonne (The beginning of the third book in The Three Musketeers) It's 40 hrs long over 70 chapters and I would say 90% of the readers are enjoyable to listen to. (Readers can change chapter to chapter) A few is not and you are waiting for the chapter to end. haha.

Jason Oliver | 3047 comments I download it. At the bottom there are download links. It's legal cause the books are all public domain. No copyrights.

For anyone who wants additional info, here is a link for listening/downloading help:

Noting I usually listen in the web browser because my kindle hdx has limited memory. (They added the micro SD slot the following year.)

JoLene (trvl2mtns) | 1532 comments I tried a couple of Librivox books several years ago (maybe 5). I wasn’t much of an audiobook listener so I thought I’d try it. I remember that I got Dracula, and one of the narrators actually used a weird Dracula accent that was so distracting that I couldn’t finish the book.
