In which order would your rank these books?

1. The name of the wind
2. Dune
3.The Gunslinger
A Wizard of Earthsea and The Lies of Locke Lamora is on my to read pile, thinking I have better move them down now to the bottom.
I would not recommend any of the three I have read.
I just didn't get The Gunslinger and gave up on the series after the first book.
Dune has to many pov's for me and was just not satisfying, I can see how some people would like it though.
The Name of the Wind's love interest was to unsatisfying for my taste, enough to ruin the rest. The follow up book doesn't adress it or answer enough of the big questions raised in the first according to most reviewers so with that in mind and the fact that the third book is nowhere to be seen I just couldn't be bothered with the second book.

Then again my sister loved all of these books. it is just a style thing I think

2. A Wizard of Earthsea starts another great series
3. The Name of the Wind is a fabulous book and the series will probably go up whenever Doors of Stone is eventually published.
4. The Blade Itself is written by the master of Grimdark and I am happy that he is working on a sequel trilogy for this series.
5. The Final Empire (Mistborn Book 1) starts a great series.
6. The Way of Kings (Stormlight Archive Book 1) is the first book in a projected ten-volume series. Three have been released so far. I am pleased with the series so far. All books are over 1000 pages each,
7. The Black Prism starts a series that I am currently reading. The idea of color magic is interesting.
8. The Lies of Locke Lamora is the first book in an unfinished series. I liked it but haven't picked up book 2. I intend to though.
9. The Gunslinger (The Dark Tower Book 1) is the first book on this list that I didn't like. I wanted to like it and there are some good parts. Most reviewers say that the series gets better and I will read book 2 at some point.
Extra: I am currently reading The Eye of the World (Wheel of Time book 1) and will put it on this list when I finish it. It is the first of thirteen books.
