My sixth novel, The Game Players of Meridien, Chronicles of the Second Empire, was published in December. It's the story of Douglas Oliver, an up and coming industrialist who likes to play games, which makes sense, since his ancestors were genetically engineered to be perfect soldiers for the Empire's armies. They're larger, stronger and faster than normal humans. Competition is in their blood, but when Douglas Oliver is challenged by an unknown party, the competition swiftly threatens to engulf Meridien in an all out war for survival.

The second book in the series, The City of Ashes, was published on January 15. Douglas Oliver, having survived the siege of Aphelion, travels to the nation of Gath to compete in the Grand Tournament. No outsider has ever won the Grand Tournament, but Douglas Oliver is determined to change that.
