Hi Courtney, not exactly. I'm doing my picks now and you can see the format of how most us post it. Each book you pick needs to fit into the criteria LaurLa gave us. But the picks you've got so far look great!

We didn't have a lot in common which made it super easy to find new picks for you. I hope you like them.
1. George Washington was the first President of the United States: This sounded interesting on your TBR - The Lady Travelers Guide to Scoundrels & Other Gentlemen by Victoria Alexander. Or check out a women claiming her missing husband who shows up beaten and with amnesia in Forgotten Sins by Rebecca Zanetti.

2. Washington was the Commander in Chief of the Continental Army during the Revolutionary War leading the US to eventual victory: Great fun, family story where the hero blackmails the heroine to attend a family vacation where they have many battles of wills in Exclusively Yours by Shannon Stacey. Navy SEALS are about to take a flight when a women claims she's seen a bomb onboard and them all dying in Forged in Fire by Trish McCallan.

3. George had wooden teeth: Finding teeth on covers was harder than I expected, so enjoy Marriage, Maverick Style! by Christine Rimmer. Or follow along when the H and h pretend to be engaged to investigate H's brother and win back custody of H's daughter in Lie to Me by Starr Ambrose.

4. Washington has been memorialized on coins, dollar bills, monuments, a state, cities and towns: Both these take place in small towns. First you have About a Dog by Jenn McKinlay where the h returns for her best friend's wedding and after saving a dog, ends up spending time with the vet. Or try something different with On the Edge by Ilona Andrews where in a place between our world (The Broken) and a magical world (The Weird) is The Edge where Rose is barely getting by supporting her two young brothers and her grandmother and then an aristocrat from the Weird shows up.

5. George says he can't tell a lie: I added this to my wishlist - Size Matters by Allison Bliss. Or check out the cupcake club getting a new member in Fool for Love by Beth Ciotta. This book has some kooky characters and small town romance.

6. Washington was born in 1732 in the colony of Virginia: This was already on my wishlist, so I'm curious if you like it - Secrets of the Tulip Sisters by Susan Mallery. I think being a guitarist in a world famous band counts as working with your hands. Ev wakes up hungover and married in Vegas which really messes with her perfectly planned out life in Lick by Kylie Scott.

7. Washington presided over the 1787 Convention that established the US Constitution: Trust No One by Jayne Ann Krentz starts with the death of a motivational speaker. Izzy is very persuasive as see convinces Ransom to share the broken down castle she inherited in this beauty and the beast retelling in Romancing the Duke by Tessa Dare.

8. George's birthday is February 22: From your TBR we have One More Kiss by Samantha Chase. Or check out a Thanksgiving cooking competition where death visits in the cozy mystery The Diva Runs Out of Thyme by Krista Davis.

You can also check January's PIFM and see how different people make their picks.
In general, you need to pick eight books - four from her shelf and four new. It doesn't matter which of the picking rules gets the new and which gets the ones from her shelf. =)

1. First or alone
I know it's said you can't judge a book by its cover but that's exactly why I chose American Queen so sue me. I'm a sucker for nice looking covers, but it did have good ratings too. Both are first in a series.
PFM: Licked

NEW: American Queen

2. Military / battle
This one was easy. You seem to like stories about men in uniform -- or not in uniform judging by the covers.
PFM: Hot Valor

NEW: The Darkest Hour

3. Teeth/white
This one was hard. Finding teeth on a cover of a romance book no less is pretty hard. I did find some good orthodontist instruction manuals though. But alas that doesn't fit the challenge. So these will have to do.
PFM: Talking Dirty With the Boss

NEW: Breathe with Me

4. Small Town / Statue / Money / name George Washington
Brutes takes place in a town in Alaska. Every town is small in Alaska so enough said. Hell, the entire population of Alaska probably counts as a small town.
NEW: Fancy Pants

PFM: Two Brutes, One Barista

5. Tree / Lying
"A romance book that includes lying. Well that will be impossible to find!" said no one ever.
NEW: All the Pretty Lies

NEW: Black Lies

6. South / Outdoors / Hands
I tried to find my life story, since I grow up in the south. But since no one has been smart enough to give a semi-fictionalized account of my romantic escapades, you'll have to settle for these. I guess some mechanics sometimes use their hands. Interested to see how Miss Mechanic is if you pick it.
NEW: A Night of Southern Comfort

PFM: Miss Mechanic

7. Politician character / government employee / Constitution
Archangel looks like it could be interesting, but some reviews say the Dmitri character is a bit of a... [insert d-word here]. As for Royally Matched, I was impressed by the reviews and I'm totally straight so my choice had nothing to do with the cover, I swear.
PFM: Archangel's Blade

NEW: Royally Matched

8. Birthday / February / 22 / Celebration
I guess a pseudo-sexual masquerade ball counts as a celebration... I guess. Blow out the candles and make a wicked wish that this is a good one.
PFM: Wicked Wish

NEW: Happy Birthday

1. First or alone

This is absolutely great! Thanks-you so much! I look forward to reading some of these. And spot on assessment of my preferences with men in uniform....or not ;)

I hope you can find something interesting to read from my choices for you.

NEW: The Accident Season - stand-alone

2. Washington was the Commander in Chief of the Continental Army.

NEW: Mean Streak - white cover

4. Washington has been memorialized on coins, dollar bills, monuments, a state, cities and towns.
TBR: Brokedown Cowboy - small town setting
NEW: Mountain Angel - small town setting

5. George says he can't tell a lie.
TBR: Beautiful Lies - lying is involved
NEW: Necessary Lies - lying is involved

6. Washington was born in 1732 in the colony of Virginia.
TBR: Ember Island - outdoor scene on cover
NEW: Exclusively Yours - works with hands

7. Washington presided over the 1787 Convention that established the US Constitution.
TBR: A Home By The Sea - works for the bomb squad
TBR: Talk Me Down - is a policeman

8. George's birthday is February 22.
TBR: Wonder - published in February
TBR: The Orphan's Tale - published in February

Here are my picks for you. I haven't read any of the books on your preferred shelf but I tried to find a mix of paranormal, mystery and contemporary romance. I hope you like them!
