While there wasn't a lot of comedy in this one, I did enjoy Juliet Marillier's Shadowfell trilogy.

I also enjoyed Jeanette O'Hagan's Akrad's Children.

Unfortunately, all of them are the first in a series. One standalone I have for you is Juliet Marillier's Heart's Blood.

thank you very much!

They aren’t paranormal. They are fairy retellings in space. (And I know that sounds weird and awful, but it isn’t).
In the first one Cinder is a cyborg mechanic and she is tasked to help the prince pull some vital information out of a robot. She has a helper droid who’s personality chip is basically valley girl in “heat” and provides so much fun.
The second one is a little red riding hood one, third is a Rapunzel and the 4th is a Snow White. They weave together so well. The characters are so fun. There is never a love triangle each girl has her own guy in each story.
I highly recommend them!
Books mentioned in this topic
The Third Kiss (other topics)Shadowfell (other topics)
Akrad's Children (other topics)
Heart's Blood (other topics)
Six of Crows (other topics)
Anything that's paranormal / fantasy with some romance, hopefully comedy and some good action.
Don't want:
The heroine to be a little b**ch, I am sick of the wah, wah, poor me syndrome.
Definitely no LOVE TRIANGLES!! They are so over used and the confusion of a dumb*ss that can't work their crap out frustrates the heck outta me!!
Hopefully there are some good books out there, would like standalone since sometimes series seem to go down hill from the first book haha.
Please and thank you!!
