Donna | 3 comments Want:
Anything that's paranormal / fantasy with some romance, hopefully comedy and some good action.

Don't want:
The heroine to be a little b**ch, I am sick of the wah, wah, poor me syndrome.
Definitely no LOVE TRIANGLES!! They are so over used and the confusion of a dumb*ss that can't work their crap out frustrates the heck outta me!!

Hopefully there are some good books out there, would like standalone since sometimes series seem to go down hill from the first book haha.

Please and thank you!!

Melissa Schubert | 21 comments I would recommend Six of Crows! It is the first book of a duology. I love them both and seems to have what you're asking for :) except not so much with the romance part

Thank you both!

Lynne Stringer | 137 comments I recently read The Third Kiss by Kat Colmer, which was interesting. The Third Kiss (Love's Mortal Coil, #1) by Kat Colmer

While there wasn't a lot of comedy in this one, I did enjoy Juliet Marillier's Shadowfell trilogy. Shadowfell (Shadowfell, #1) by Juliet Marillier

I also enjoyed Jeanette O'Hagan's Akrad's Children. Akrad's Children by Jeanette O'Hagan

Unfortunately, all of them are the first in a series. One standalone I have for you is Juliet Marillier's Heart's Blood. Heart's Blood by Juliet Marillier

Donna | 3 comments I'll give them a look, I have read shadow fell and found it good so hopefully the standalone will be just as good.
thank you very much!

Amanda Kratz | 3 comments Have you read they Lunar Chronicles by Marissa Meyer? It starts with Cinder, then Scarlet, Cress, and Winter. They are fantastic.

They aren’t paranormal. They are fairy retellings in space. (And I know that sounds weird and awful, but it isn’t).

In the first one Cinder is a cyborg mechanic and she is tasked to help the prince pull some vital information out of a robot. She has a helper droid who’s personality chip is basically valley girl in “heat” and provides so much fun.

The second one is a little red riding hood one, third is a Rapunzel and the 4th is a Snow White. They weave together so well. The characters are so fun. There is never a love triangle each girl has her own guy in each story.

I highly recommend them!

Khadija (khadasim) | 3 comments I would HIGHLY recommend you to read "The Young Elites".
(if you haven't already)
It's a trilogy, full of action and fantasy! It has romance but not like the normal dramtic-kind, if u get what i mean.
Personally I LOVED it!
