Reverse Harem? Anyone? discussion

Can anyone help me? I read a fantasy series back in 2009 that had a reverse harem component to it (it was available at my library). Main thing I remember is that the MC was a queen that lived near a fjord, had 6+ children and was kidnapped by a Satan like character (I think named Nicholas). He had a "tail" that he used when having sex that would allow him to impregnate the queen. She was traumatized and had to go to a fairy realm (similar to middle east) where the reverse harem occurs)
Any ideas on author?
