I've wanted to try this series on for awhile, however I have mixed feelings. I have heard both good and bad. Time to make my own decision.

Same here! I've been wanting to for awhile but I've been afraid that it'd be really bad.

I liked this series. I love how she renamed certain place but you can still figure out what they are. I wasn’t to fond of the Heir however.

Not my favorite series, but I don't regret the time I spent reading them. I do agree with Stephanie on the fifth spin off book 'The Heir'. Don't waste your time on that one.

Ok I feel like such a bonehead! So I went to Audible to see how much the book would be so I wouldn't have to wait on the library. It turns out I OWN IT!!!! I bought it on a sale a while back. I think this may be a sign that I have a problem with buying too many books, I can't keep track of them.

Started this morning. The beginning reminds me of the hunger games with the classes and the poverty. Even being put into a lottery that will change your life.

This book is like a cross between the Hunger Games and the Bachelor.

The cattiness is getting to me. I'm almost finished. But I do like the book.

I just finished. Is this a series read or will it switch to buddy read for those that want to continue? I do want to see what happens next.

I just finished too! I was thinking I could just leave it here and turn it into a series read. I've already added the other 3 books to our "to-read" list. I definitely want to finish too. I enjoyed the book more than I thought I would.

Yeah the girls were catty but they didn't piss me off as much as Aspen
also do we think the rebels might have an inside track? (view spoiler)[ they are able to pretty much come and go as they please into the castle without much effort it seems. They have to have someone on the inside letting them in. I am sure some of the guards might be pissed about the draft and willing to help the rebels. And what do you think they are looking for? Do you think that Aspen might be willing to join them if he thinks it might help him get America back? (hide spoiler)]

I've got the audio version of book 2, but I like having the ebook too, so I'm not sure if I'll wait for that to come in or just start listening to the second until the ebook comes in.

Finished the first three books of the series. I liked it, totally the bachelor and hunger games, which I thought was funny. I’ve put off reading the next three... let me know if that becomes a buddy read.

I will most likely finish the whole series, however I think i will skip the one with all the short stories. I don't tend to like those much

The second trilogy is no where near as good. I was disappointed. She did write another book called the Siren which is ok.

I can't stop listening but.... America's jealousy is putting me seriously on edge.

Her back and forth between the two is stressing me out lol. I just want it all to be over and America to end up with Maxon. I'm only halfway through the second book... I don't know if I can go through two more books of this stress! hahaha.

Well you have a bit more back and forth, but I have faith in you. You can do it!!! I just finished the one. So is book 4 a continuation or a spin off? Because I felt like The One had an ending.

Books 4 and 5 is the story of America and Maxon's daughter who has her own selection. It wasn't all that great.

Oh thank goodness I only have to endure 1 more book of the jealousy! I only have 3 hours left of the Elite. I should have it finished before I leave work :)

Personally I was satisfied with the trilogy. It was a good ending.

Yes I would! The 4th and 5th weren't terrible, but there's much better books to fill your time.

I definitely paused for a week when the whole Dad thing happened... but I'm finished now!
