Flatterina, about how long is each book?
Are there many illustrations? Can you describe the illustrations - realistic/cartoony/cute, simple/detailed, painted watercolors/bold graphics, sunny/dark/muted colors/black & white?

Uhm, I'd say around 250-350 pages per book? It was a series for children so definitely not too long.
The only illustrations I remember were the drawn/painted covers. They were definitely colourful and more on the realistic side. I think they were fairly detailed, but nothing too fancy.

Rutherford G. Montgomery has written about wildlife too, and it looks like they include a few horse books and one about an elk.
Or do you think they were written in/closer the 21st century?

I'm searching for a book series I read about five years ago, I think. I found it in a library in Germany but if I recall correctly it has been translated and was originally published in another language.
As mentioned in the title each book was written from the perspective from a different wild animal. I don't remember which exactly were used, but I distinctly recall at least one hooved species. Horses, and moose maybe? I know there were at least four or five books in the series.
The novels dealt with them starting at a very young age and the reader accompanied them as they got older and often travelled somewhere with the pack/flock/group of other animals. It is possible the books where written from the I-perspective.
The covers were drawn. Also, I think they showed the animal the book was about.
That's about as much as I can remember. Any help would be very appreciated!
