Books and Jams Readalong discussion

It's a little scary to me that either ch 13 or 14 (or both) is really long. This section is about the same size as the others but it's only 2 chapters! Yikes! haha.

Chapter 13
Her father is surprised still by how much she knows and tells her he wants her to explain later how she knows so much. It would scare me if I was her. Then she runs in to Graham for the first time since dinner. She is still annoyed at him and he doesn't understand. Graham informs Sophia he isn't so noble as to give up on her. I don't know how I would be he didn't even try and contact her for a couple days I would think he was trying to tell me something. But nope still digging her lol.

Married, and handfasted that seems quick. I am glad though, but how does it work. Why isn't he going to take her with him. If I was Sophia I would tell him I was going with him. I like the part where he is in the shadows and tells her as long as she doesn't fully see him she pretty much won't be lying to anyone. To funny.

I don't understand why they can't tell the Countess they are married. I feel bad for Sophia everyone she loves has left to sea and never made it back. I love that he gave her his fathers ring. I did notice also that his brothers name is William and that was also the name her Carrie's father told her was David John's brothers name. So fingers crossed they are one in the same person.

Chapter 15
That was crazy how in the previous chapter lilacs had fallen on and around Sophia right before John left and how Carrie didn't like the smell of lilacs.Like they reminded her of a unhappy time.
Also how she feel on the path because she thought there was a path where there wasn't. Keeps getting stranger and stranger. I keep waiting for the point where she is just transported to that time.

I slacked off writing down things about most of this section. And I'm not quite done yet.

X - When Moray and Sophia were in the garden I kept expecting to see Billy listening in or seeing them kissing. I'm still not sure he wasn't there. I feel like he would use that against them. Maybe somehow try to claim the reward for finding Moray.

Ch 15 - Why does Carrie keep stepping off the path in that same spot? What or who keeps causing that panic? This time there was no one to pull her back so she did fall and hurt herself. Is someone trying to send her a message? Did something happen to Sophia in that spot? I can't wait to find out that answer.

Also in Ch 15. Why aren't Graham and Carrie telling anyone about their relationship still? I get why Moray and Sophia need to keep it secret, but G&C? I'm starting to feel bad for Stuart! He just keeps trying, but I bet he would back off if he knew Graham already had her heart!
