Mark (mark12000) | 9 comments So I've been looking for a few books (Or webnovels or something that is posted on RRL for example) that is a LITRPG but set in the modern day, but it doesn't have to be in real life. A good example is a fiction named Artisan on RRL, it's set in a game world where the MC chose to be an alien AI in a world of super heroes in the modern day.

Another example is Super Sales on Super Heroes (Kindle Unlimited on Amazon), but while I'm enjoying it, I'm not too fond of harems and when the MC can be pushed around and does whatever they are told or don't refuse to do something by someone a lot they get annoyed or angry at.

So, does anyone have any recommendations? They don't have to be a published book or e-book, they can be works in progress on sites like Royal Road Legends (RRL), or be published (preferably) through Amazon Kindle Unlimited.

Thanks, I'll have a look.

James Patton | 1 comments Office Wars basically a tower climber through an office building and the classes are office type jobs. The MC is a Mailroom Clerk for his class. https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/3...

Chuck McIntyre (jithrae) | 37 comments The Gam3 is supposed to be close to modern day, though the alien tech available makes it feel more like classic science fiction.

Mark (mark12000) | 9 comments Thanks guys! I read a bit of The Gam3 a while ago, but lost interest. Not sure why TBH.

Office Wars sounds like it'll be entertaining. Thanks!

Same boat on Gam3. I lost interest when the author lost interest

I know which is why I chimed in, heh. Makes it easier to find with name of author or title. I would also recommend Earth Tactics Advance, by Scottie Futch.

Devan | 29 comments One of my favorites on royal road is Change: New World. Was one of the top 5 when the author was still active (quit after a couple chapters in book 2).
It’s about a kid whose reality abruptly becomes a game world and he is trapped in his high school/dungeon.

Thanks! I believe I read most of that, if not all of it. Shame so many authors drop great books that I believe could be published on Amazon and be quite popular once exposed if they could keep interest in finishing it.

Sree | 4 comments Oh I'm like a month late to this but I've read a couple recently, Alpha Project by Ramon Meija & Beginner's Luck by Aaron Jay (they're kinda similar, beginner's luck is just the better book but set in the far future). A few people have mentioned that Christopher Keene Dream State Saga books which I recommend too. Also, there's the Lewd Saga that is pretty good, it has erotica but most of the time its 1 main girl and the main dude is not controlled by women if that was your worry with SSoSH.
