Thanks a lot Randy! For both!

Let's have a quick roll call!
Who will be reading A Wrinkle in Time along with us in March?
Also, is this a re-read for you or are you reading it for the first time? And if you read it before, did you read it as a child?
P.S. Since this is a NO SPOILERS thread make sure you tag any specific memories of the book that others might consider to be a spoiler. Alternatively, feel free to share those memories in the appropriate chapter discussion or in the review discussion.

I'll be reading this in March with my son (as long as he's okay with taking a short break from The Series of Unfortunate Events)!
I have never read this before, but I remember it being on my bookshelf when I was a kid. Just never got around to it. I'll be using it for "Childhood classic you've never read" for the popsugar challenge.

I think I'll join you guys. Its been a while since I've been active on goodreads groups. How will it all work. And this would be my first time reading it

Hi Izzie, glad to have you with us (also SarahKat, Kate, Ashley, April, Heather, Anne, Rachelnyc, LetterFromEgypt, and Keturah). Some folks might wait until March to get started on the read but feel free to start whenever you want and comment in the appropriate thread. Enjoy!

Don't feel bad, I did too. I never even heard of it until I saw a preview for it before Star Wars.

HAPPY READING EVERYONE!!!!

Great! Welcome aboard Savannah. Is this your first time reading Wrinkle or had you read it when you were younger?

When You Reach Me ~ Rebecca Stead
Loved it! Soooo many references to A Wrinkle in Time. :) Enough that I think anyone who wants to read When You Reach Me should read Wrinkle in Time first. Geared toward ages 9-14 but one of those books that an adult can read as a light read because it isn't dumbed down.

It was a dark and stormy night; Meg Murry, her small brother Charles Wallace, and her mother had come down to the kitchen for a midnight snack when they were upset by the arrival of a most disturbing stranger.
"Wild nights are my glory," the unearthly stranger told them. "I just got caught in a downdraft and blown off course. Let me be on my way. Speaking of way, by the way, there is such a thing as a tesseract".
Meg's father had been experimenting with this fifth dimension of time travel when he mysteriously disappeared. Now the time has come for Meg, her friend Calvin, and Charles Wallace to rescue him. But can they outwit the forces of evil they will encounter on their heart-stopping journey through space?
Randy will be our discussion leader, thank you!
