10.3 - Tell Me Where It Hurts
The Wellcome Collection is a medical-based museum, which describes itself as "The free destination for the incurably curious". Read a book with a main page genre of "medicine" or "medical," or about or by a doctor, nurse, midwife or veterinarian.

The task says main page genre OR about or by doctor, nurse, etc. These work.

Being on lists is irrelevant. The task requires that medicine/medical be a main page genre or that the book "about or by a doctor, nurse, midwife or veterinarian. " From the description it seems that this book is about doctors.

Trish (trishhartuk) | 3683 comments Would the Gaslight mystery series by Victoria Thompson work (https://www.goodreads.com/series/4127...)? Sarah is a midwife.

Or are you looking for something more specifically medical?

as long as the books are about a midwife, they fit the task.

do actual doctors play an important part in the book? As a med student, she wouldn't qualify.

There are a host of doctor's directing her work in medical school, but she is the main character and of course, is not a doctor. There is a lot of attention given to the fact that women are new to the medical profession and the doctors directing her education are not really in favor of her qualifying as a doctor. It only became obvious to me that she never actually becomes a doctor in the book until I read it, hence the question. I will not be offended if you ask me to read something else. I would not have started it if I had known she didn't receive her degree in the book.

sorry, doesn't sound as if it is about a doctor, then, so wouldn't fit the task.

No students - the lead has to be an actual doctor, nurse, midwife, etc.

You are correct -- I don't know why I did not notice the mention of her as a Dr. the first time I skimmed through the GR description. Must be Blurry Eye syndrome.
