I could see this character as the perp but did not figure it to be the one. But no surprise as I rearly figure whodunit. Though I do love being along for the ride. ;-)

Talk about chocoholic..."moseyed" over to local chocolatier to find their Valentine chocolates 1/2 off . OMG! Talk about a kid in a candy store. lol SO bought me a heart of assorted chocolates and-- Dangerous...me and this chocolate thing. lol

PugMom (nicoleg76) | 2014 comments I think I'll mosey on over to the chocolate shop (well there are 2 within walking distance of each other) maybe on Friday. I'm trying to make the most of my vacation! I will report any interesting concoctions I find!

I really liked this book and although it was very easy to eliminate a few suspects, I found that I once again guessed wrong as to the perpetrator. The perp did give off some weird vibes but I couldn't think of a motive so I guess I just didn't put 2 and 2 together!

Nicole (nicolevickers) | 1814 comments Oh, I didn't guess the perp at all until we found out about the change in the insurance policy then I figured it out. It was really well done and I'm definitely going to read more in the series. Should've guessed it earlier by the relationship with the mean cat, lol!

Two chocolate shops within walking distance? Heaven on earth, NicoleG!! Yes, let us know what you score. ;-)

Perp did exhibit signs of over the top loyalty, adoration etc. but then it was only shown to us in dribs and drabs. Cleverly woven IMHO as authors gave us just enough of this person to keep them out of direct sight yet enough to make them still an issue and a plausible choice.

Yes, there was that, Nicole...but I still didn't figure it out. lol I will be reading more of this series too. I think there may be a Halloween installment to this series. Have to check for Sept. - Oct.

Poor mean cat. I know, I know but...the cat next door is neglected and somewhat abused and he has the meanest disposition yet he rubs around my ankles and is always trying to get in our garage. He just wants to be loved. :-(

It was only when it was mentioned that there was a daughter that I caught on!
I feel bad for Blueberry, a little bit, and hope his disposition improves!

Yes, that daughter's a piece of work, huh? And her diet. Yuck!

Nicole, I know whatcha mean. We've a "Blueberry" in our 'hood and he picks on all the cats. Mine are stressed over him and I resent that owner just dumped him on our doorstep. Now I've to make heartbreaking decision what to do with him. My old boy cat is stressed over him. :-(

PugMom (nicoleg76) | 2014 comments I had 2 cats like Blueberry (didn’t own them at the same time though). Jellybean and Puffy were wretched little fur balls. I will never own another cat because they were so horrid! LOL I’m glad I can laugh about them now!!
