Is there a policy about how to go about having author name in their original language but also English transliteration, and having title in original language but also English translation?

If there's an English edition, one could do that with the title, but not really with the author, unless two versions are created of the author, and if there isn't an English edition, then what?

I've seen the name of the author listed as a second author in their native alphabet. I've seen the English title given in parentheses after the original title. Are those the way to go?

Authors whose work has only been published in their native language should have their name listed in their native language -- not also in English.

If the authors have been translated into English, then all their books should have their name in English first, and the editions in their native language would have their name in the native language second.

This allows all editions of the book to be combined, regardless the language.

It is good practice to put a link in the secondary profile, pointing to the primary one, and a librarian note can be very useful too. (e.g. https://www.goodreads.com/author/show...)

If a transliteration of the title is given, the agreed format is to put it in square brackets []. Parentheses are used to put the name of a series after the title.

As Koen says, the transliteration may be added in square brackets to the title field.

The English title should not be added to the title field, unless the cover also gives the English title (I have seen this f.e. on Chinese books).
