Just checking in. :)

I have a list of books I intend to read. I can list all the letters I have available. If that will help any.

That is probably a good idea. I wonder if we should start a spreadsheet or google doc to keep track?? What do you all think?

CallMeSensei checking in! I think a spreadsheet is a great idea.

I'll post some of the books I'm planning to read in a little bit :)

Adrienne Barrett (arnden) | 37 comments Hello. I am checking in too. Can we say what letter we intend to read first before we are finished?

Hi Jasmine!! :)

I love spreadsheets!! I don't mind starting one. Unless someone else wants to do it.

How do you guys want to do it?
I was thinking maybe each of us have our own tab where we organize ourselves? And one overall where one or two people work on to minimize overlap? What do you guys think?

I don't think we want to make it super complicated. Probably one sheet is enough. We could list all the available letters down the side and people could fill in what they're reading when they've started a book. Maybe color code people's entries so we can easily find our own stuff.

message 18: by CallMeSensei (last edited Mar 01, 2018 05:00PM) (new)

CallMeSensei So far, I'm thinking about reading:

To Kill a Kingdom by Alexandra Christo The Girl from Everywhere (The Girl from Everywhere, #1) by Heidi Heilig The Tropic of Serpents (The Memoirs of Lady Trent, #2) by Marie Brennan The Bear and the Nightingale (Winternight Trilogy, #1) by Katherine Arden Strange the Dreamer (Strange the Dreamer, #1) by Laini Taylor This Savage Song (Monsters of Verity, #1) by Victoria Schwab As She Fades by Abbi Glines American Gods by Neil Gaiman Ready Player One (Ready Player One, #1) by Ernest Cline Borne by Jeff VanderMeer The Golden Compass (His Dark Materials, #1) by Philip Pullman A Wrinkle in Time (A Wrinkle in Time Quintet, #1) by Madeleine L'Engle

But I'm definitely a mood reader... so take this list for what it's worth? Also, I'd definitely be down to BR if anyone else is thinking about these :)

Good selection!
UGH! I've already read This Savage Song, or else I would definitely want to BR that with you! Great book! I loved it.

message 21: by CallMeSensei (new)

CallMeSensei I've drafted a spreadsheet.

If you grab your color, you can fill in the spaces as you read or what you think you might read.

Hope this helps.

message 22: by Adrienne (new)

Adrienne Barrett (arnden) | 37 comments I added the frequency column so we don't over do any specific letter.

I also only listed the next two books I planned to read, so that I can then fill in letters that we still need with my next choices.

Oh, that's why I outlined the boxes... so you would only have so many of each letter. Sorry if that wasn't clear.

message 25: by CallMeSensei (new)

CallMeSensei I think it would be a good strategy to try to cover the high point letters. I see Adrienne has Z covered. That leaves J, Q, X.

Not sure what I have for these but if anyone has something, go for it!

Aurora (auroraboreal) | 10 comments I can't do TBRs so I'll just go searching for books when I finish the current one. Which is great because I can pick books based on the letters that are left 😂

Adrienne Barrett (arnden) | 37 comments Can someone please explain to me with more detail what we must do after we finish a book so that it is counted? I am 30 pages from the end of my first book and I am nervous about properly doing what I have to do so we all get points. Sorry to be such a newbie! I learn fast. Thanks!

message 43: by Jasmine (new)

Jasmine Yes! Here is the link for our team review page:
https://www.goodreads.com/topic/show/...

message 44: by Jasmine (new)

Jasmine It will give you instructions on the format and everything. It is super helpful.

message 45: by Adrienne (last edited Mar 01, 2018 01:11PM) (new)

Adrienne Barrett (arnden) | 37 comments How long does a review need to be? A few sentences or a few paragraphs? Plus where can I find a link for the number of pages? Amazon? Goodreads?

I found the small link on how to review a book I have finished so I removed those questions.

message 46: by Jasmine (new)

Jasmine I believe a review has to be at least 4 sentences. The number of pages you can find on Goodreads. For example the link I'm posting the pages can be found underneath where it says "get a copy"
https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/1.... You will want to change the edition to the one that has the most pages.

message 47: by Kaleigh (new)

Love & Gelato by Jenna Evans Welch

I put the book on hold at my library. There's a slight waitlist, so I don't know when I'll get the book. I'll get back to you when I have more information of when it will come.
