Also I'm excited to see what James thinks of the book, because I really enjoyed reading it the first time around.

Bobby Bermea (beirutwedding) | 3 comments So how did this finally go down? I really enjoyed the book, skin-deep as it was. But whatever made the book delightful, really missed in the movie. How did other people feel?

I liked the book at the time, but I never watched the movie. I had an inkling it wasn't going to live up to the experience of the book. I was excited during production, but decided it wasn't for me when I watched the first trailer.
