So, how do we read this?
You want to read a set amount of chapters a day or just read and post every once in a while?
It seems that the chapters are very short.
It's already the 1st of August for me, and I don't have anything else I'm really reading, so I will probably start this soon! :)

I will be camping until Wednesday. I will listen to it and post when I get back.

How far have you guys gotten?
I've had a bunch of things suddenly pop up that I needed to do, so I haven't read too much, just a few chapters, but I hope to read a lot today! :)

not much I'm one chapter two right now

So far, I'm not the biggest fan of this book. I have read 25 chapters.
(view spoiler)[ It's an OK read, but I feel like I'm only continuing it because I have a thing about finishing books.

I'm not sure I like the whole Reading and Conjuring thing. Well, I am sure. I don't like it.
I am guessing that it was all some sort of experiment with some drugs and that's why they all went into the woods and were never allowed to leave the territory, at least the younger ones born there. They found some drug that would make you able to do these things, but they wanted to see how it works if you've been using it all your life in a secluded area, so they did it to the new generation.
But then again, maybe that's what we're supposed to believe.
Anyway, I don't have much else to comment.
So far I'm not a fan of the 1st person writing in this book. I don't mind it at all in others, but I would rather this one was in 3rd person.
I don't like Miles much. Well, he seems like a normal guy, who as any normal guy would, thinks she is crazy. I'm guessing soon he will believe that she isn't some criminal or something and won't want to turn her in and will be on her side.

I am only a few chapters in.

Ok, so I finished the book, but got such a terrible migraine that no medicine would help, so I am only writing now. I'm tempted to think it was because of the book... :D

Ok, so the story was entertaining and all, but I guess this just wasn't the book for me. Yes, maybe it was entertaining, but so much about it frustrated me that I am still deciding whether to give it 1 or 2 stars, 2 would be just because it was entertaining at times.

I didn't like the writing, I didn't connect with the characters at all. I feel bad saying these things, but it just really wasn't for me. I also found myself wanting Juneau to make different decisions than she did. I'm sure that many people will like this book and that is completely fine with me. Just personally, I didn't.
I'm not even sure I have much to comment about the story itself.
I won't be finishing this series when it continues. Though, I will read spoilers of the second book and if it seems interesting enough, I might read it. I don't ever read spoilers before reading a book, but this is the first time that I've ever decided to not finish a series.

I do have a few guesses at what is happening though (view spoiler)[ I think that Whit is not really the bad guy here. I think when he went out last time from the clan, he told Juneau to go hunting on purpose, so that she wouldn't be caught with the rest of them, and was planning to find her and go on the journey together or something.
He probably called the guys he is with when he left the clan , and maybe the rest of the clan is actually safe. They were taken by men who Whit asked to come get them, so they would be safe when the Blackwell guys came to take them. In one vision thing, Juneau saw her father outside looking at the sky or something. To me it didn't seem that he is in danger or being held against his will, if he is allowed to go outside and all.

And that death-sleep thing at the end. I don't like it. It seems like these people actually die. Maybe they're then possessed by something when they wake up and become immortal or whatever it is. I don't know.. but it sounds creepy. (hide spoiler)]

I am just over halfway through. It started out strong but now it's kind of.....meh.

You have the audio book? You mentioned that you will listen to it. If you do, I'm just wondering how long is it?
I know that audio books are a lot longer than just reading them. I love audio books, but I don't think I could have listened to this as an audio book though, too much time spent on this story. Though, sometimes a book is actually better as an audio book. I'm curious! :D

It is approximately 8 hours.

Just finished. It was okay. The ending confused me. It seemed fairly abrupt. Not sure if I really care enough about what happens next and unanswered questions to read the next book. Will come back a discuss in more detail when I have a bit more time.

Don't audio books take a really long time?

longer than. reading but many of my. responsibilities allow me to listen to books while accomplishing them which is better than no reading.

Yah that makes sense. They just read so slowly it's a pain. I finished it. This like all of her other books couldn't hold me interest from the moment it started.

hmmm I haven't read any other works by her. Not in any rush to either.

She wrote this revanant series that was in Paris, it was pretty bad for me. I was expecting this to be better though.
