I can handle a few mistakes and inconcistencies but it did make me hesitate to buy when I saw so many reviews complaining about the errors.

I simply don’t want to be part of your little book.”
Little book?
Heroine ignored the pain that came along with those words and allowed the fire that leaped into her chest to grow.
“Well, that’s simply too bad,” she said. “I’ve already begun a draft, and you’re in every page.”
“Take me out.” His stare became menacing and his voice grew low, but she was not afraid he’d become violent. After all, her maid was in the room, though a quick glance showed her to be on the other aisle, her back toward them, and a pear tree blocking her from seeing them even if she’d wished to turn around.
She turned back to Hero and said, “It’s too late. You’re the hero.”
Hero shook his head and then he did something she didn’t expect.
He stepped toward her and his hands clamped at her hips, before dragging her forcibly across the last few inches that separated them.
Their bodies touched, and she could feel everything.
His breath was warm against her lips as he whispered, “I’m no hero.” His gold eyes had taken on a darker hue, cinnamon in color, reminding her of hot treats that she could never deny.
But she had to deny him.
To steady herself, and push away as much as his stronghold would allow—which wasn’t much—she said, “Unhand me.”
He didn’t. If anything, he pulled her closer, as if that were possible. His body was so hard against hers as they stood chest to chest and leg to leg. She’d never been touched by a man like this before. Sure, she teased, but this…
She turned her head away.
He leaned toward her ear. “I don’t think I want to.”
“T-that doesn’t m-matter.” She shut her mouth at hearing her own voice shake. Then she let out a small and short moan as his fingers moved down her hips. “This isn’t right,” she managed to get out, though she didn’t completely believe it. It felt right. It felt very right.
“That is what I am trying to tell you.”
She turned to look at him then, pulling her head back at the same time. Their noses almost touched. Staring into his eyes, she lost her train of thought. “What?”
“You’re right. This isn’t right, and yet I don’t care. You see? I’m no hero.”
