Wow!!! That was the best vampire book I've read since the passage trilogy!

I'm at about 60%. Loving it. Hard to believe this was written in '93. It feels so current.

I thought so too. when y'all kept mentioning it was wrote a while back, I had to go see when. I never would've guessed.

I think that the lack of electricity takes out all of the things that may have dated this story.

I’m only on page 70 and agree it feels very timeless. I am enjoying the few little tidbits of the time I’ve caught so far. References to Woolworth’s and Whoopi Goldberg who was big at the time takes me back to late 80’s/90’s.

at 80%... I'd love to finish this today but I'm not sure I'll have the time. :( I want to know what happens!
I also just bought Navarro's book Red Shadows. Hope that one is as good as this book is.

Good story. I wish the ending had a bit more detail. It felt rushed and I wanted more.

A great retro feeling read with the large cast of characters and all of their stories! You don't find that sort of thing too often nowadays.

Now that you mention it, the ending did feel rushed. What exactly happened with Jo?
