Nikki ~ The Nocturnal Bookworm (nyxreadsstuff) For the first year I went ahead and picked some to schedule. For 2019 on genre's will be picked by members via survey. I did carry over what I had for Jan and Feb since the first group reads were for march. However, the rest of 2019 will be filled in based on the survey I have posted below.

Genres/Themes of the Month:

2018

March - Fantasy
April - Thriller/Suspense
May - Paranormal
June - Members Choice (Any genre goes)
July - Sci-Fi
August - Non-Fiction
September - Classic
October - Horror
November - Mystery
December - Runner up from each poll

2019

January: Historical (Fiction & Non-Fiction)
February: Romance
March: Science Fiction
April: Horror
May: Fantasy
June: Classics
July: Dystopian
August: Award Winners
September: GLBTQI+ author or character
October: Mythical Creatures
November: Suspense & Thriller
December: Second Chance Pick

Vote for the genres in 2020

Kally (kallywumpus) | 8 comments Nikki, could you explain what you want in the poll clearer for me?
Does the number I choose correspond to the month I think that theme should be? Or is it a scale of interest...?

Sure :) it's scale of interest. With 1 being most interested. This system means the genres/themes that the most people are the most amount of members are interested in will be put in.

I actually changed the wording in the poll to make that more clear. I realized after you said something I didn't really explain.

I have a survey set up for next year and there is a section for any suggestions not listed as options :)

The link at the bottom of the first post is the link to the survey. I believe most of the ones you listed are already on the list of choices

Nikki ~ The Nocturnal Bookworm (nyxreadsstuff) Don't forget to get in your vote for the genres for March thru June of next year before the end of the month. They will be announced at the end of the month.

Vote For Next Years Genres and Themes Here

With this ranking system 1 is the most interested, and higher numbers mean less interested. This system means the genres/themes that the greatest amount of members are the most interested in will be selected.

It is set up to where you can only take it once so choose carefully. At the end of July I will announce which genres will be featured in which month.

In November or December I will do this again to select the themes/genres for the second half of 2019. This survey also includes a place to write in genres or themes I missed and if they aren't mentioned enough to get picked for this time around, I will be adding suggestions in the survey for July thru November of 2019.

Nikki ~ The Nocturnal Bookworm (nyxreadsstuff) Link updated for the survey to decide July-November of 2019

Mystic Orange (Rumell) (rkrespectedmember) I will add more theme.

Nikki ~ The Nocturnal Bookworm (nyxreadsstuff) I just figured out that the links didn't change for some reason....

If you voted for July-Novembers themes it was the old survey. It should be fixed and should say that its for those months on it. Sorry, everyone!

Mystic Orange (Rumell) (rkrespectedmember) The survey doesn't allow you to add a new theme

Nikki ~ The Nocturnal Bookworm (nyxreadsstuff) Rumell wrote: "The survey doesn't allow you to add a new theme"

It’s not supposed to let you add any themes to the list. The second question is asking if there are any genres that were not on the second survey or the first you feel should be. On the first survey I asked the same question and the couple that were mentioned were added to this second survey :) if something is mentioned enough times in the second question it could get chosen as a genre of the month.
