I have requested the Audrey Niffenegger book from the library. I guess we all are drawn to quirky, lol

Do you listen to country? A few of my co-workers at the chocolate shop have been switching the station to Country - this is my last week there.

I generally don’t unless you count crossover artists. I prefer music from when I was young so 80’s, early 90’s and some seventies. :)

That is hilarious.

80s music is my fall back listening favorite. I have a very eclectic music library, something for every mood. Country is always my house cleaning music.

Rachel | 3530 comments When I added the task to the challenge, I googled quirky country song titles and there’s quite a few.
If you’d like to add it to your collection it’s a duet by Loretta Lynn and Conway Twitty :)
We might as well be singing and laughing while we’re cleaning, lol :D

Danell (danellbookworm) | 686 comments I was going to leave a note in my truck saying, no hillbilly shit kicker music allowed, then I thought, to each their own. I had a brief country music phase. Love 80’s and 90’s, hair bands, rock and roll.

My 13 yr driving career ended today. Onto the next chapter.

Wishing you good luck and happiness as you start this next

I would. I want to reread “The Lottery” by her. I remember reading that story in high school and the feeling of what the hell did I just read, that was amazing.

I haven't read anything by Shirley Jackson

The Astonishing Color of After also sounds interesting.

Will look into both.

It's a better work environment than I had. I don't like working 7 days a week, but at least I get paid for every hour I work and I have less stress. I'm happy with the decision I made and once I get more comfortable in my new full-time work, I'll love it.

Danell (danellbookworm) | 686 comments I read Pines (Wayward Pines, #1) by Blake Crouch which works for the challenge, I forgot to look at which part it works for before typing. A good book, certainly different. I was thinking about reading Sleeping Beauties for the challenge but am going to hold off, went to the library and checked out 4 books.

Hope everyone is doing well!!

Love Blake Crouch :-) The television show for Wayward Pines had some significant differences from the books - which I suppose is typical.

I've also been considering reading Sleeping Beauties - still plan to but it's such a lengthy book, I won't be able to finish in May.

message 144: by Danell (new)

Danell (danellbookworm) | 686 comments New job is going well, getting adjusted to different work hours and more family and reading time.

Will have to look into the rest of the Pines trilogy.

Thank you friends for being along on my reading journies

Christine | 798 comments Hey! Sorry I've been busy with this and that lately. I've been traveling, headed out again for family graduations, two this coming weekend. Madly trying to finish the challenge. I just finished The Sleeper and the Spindle. It fits the sleep task. Its Neil Gaiman, its the retelling of Snow White and Sleeping Beauty, sort of, and its a quick read. Loved it.

Hugs to all!
