This is a book that takes place long ago, more towards the old west era. A man was born in a bed and it is of great importance to him. He gifts it to his wife (or is gifted it by his father) to use in marriage. He also builds his wife a cabin where they will live, and i believe I remember that she refused to marry him or move in with him intil the cabin was built, but I am not sure about that . I am not sure what else happens but I remember loving it! Please help!

I read it about two years ago, but it was an older chapter book when I read it. I had to read it for a college class, but cannot remember what it was and no one I have talked to has remembered it either.
