Sometimes I go and read through threads to see the drama. But then I get annoyed.

yeah, I think I might with YA. Just with the whole point wise with me reading seems to be an issue. I'm either solo and can't join any teams if they need help just because someone on that team is a big reader too but hasn't posted anything yet. Or I join a team and people complain. I haven't decided yet.

For indigenous people: do they need to be MCs or would a person traveling to a country and interactive with natives (or books with a smaller role native character) work?

They could just split you onto a couple of teams. So instead of all of them going to one like every other book would go to separate teams or something. Could get confusing though.

A smaller role is fine. Preferably not a single sentence, but it doesn't have to be the MC.

For "novella (short book)" would a book under 200 pages count? Or is there a specific page limit?

If it’s tagged as a novella of a .1 or .anything you’re good.

For "a book about a detective" does the detective have to be the MC or would any mystery book that has a detective in it work? I'm currently reading Pretend You Don't See Her and I'm trying to figure out all my options for it. There was one scene, so far, in a hospital, but that doesn't count for "A book with doctors/medical theme" right?

You are welcome! For a category if it doesn’t specify a main character then it can be anyone who is a detective.

Actually I'm just gonna say yes. Because it doesn't say it has to be a bow AND arrow. So it can be a bow or arrow. And it doesn't specify that it has to be a bow that shoots arrows.
