Hugo & Nebula Awards: Best Novels discussion

The Star Rigger series by Jeffery A Carver. Eternity’s End, a Nebula nominee, is the series ender.

There, after giving very short book descriptions, it explains the reading order for Eternity’s End is actually last, #6, even though it is on the list at the long-series shelf as being #5.

But the descriptions of the books show that the books are not all that alike. So I’m not sure we really have to read them all. I will have to leave that to you.

The reason this came up is two of the precursor books can be bought in one Kindle book for $1.99 at

instead of 9.98 to buy them separately. I don’t know how long this price will last.

I noticed many people pointing out the fact that almost all of the novels can be read separately and out of order, so I suggest we tag it as a standalone and assign genre-appropriate shelves for it.

Will sit on it for a few days in case anybody else will have something to add.
