Some curiosities to mention about The Third Man (and if that does not entice you to read and watch it, nothing will): - Graham Greene wrote the novella as a preparation for the movie, not intending to publish it at all, and he himself wrote the screenplay for it - three big stars in the movie: Orson Welles, Joseph Cotton and Trevor Howard - the movie won an Oscar for cinematography, BAFTA for the Best British Film, and Grand Prix of Cannes for the best movie - BFI voted the movie as the greatest British film of all time (in 1999 though).
I've seen only the movie. Twice. Loved it both times. Now it's time to read the story first, and then to watch the movie again :)
