I'm catching up. Nearing 200, Nicoles. ;-) Thick book but lots of white matter. Short chapters, pages and the read gliding on. Love that in a mystery!
The scene at the dance was riveting. A touch of deja vu ala icky uncle. Fear flooding Luisa o'r the possibility of her whereabouts being discovered, her being followed to her new home. Make haste, girls. Make haste!

The plot thickens! Spoiler Alert --
Seems there are three possible guilty parties: the cousin, brother and Mabel. Did Hobkirk earn his limp from jump off train? Or was it from a previous injury or birth defect? Guy should find that out before he strikes him off suspect list. If it's him, then who shut the window? An accomplice?
Now, unless I've forgotten details, there's not enough to finger the brother. Maybe more will surface about him. Either that, or I've forgotten some pertinent deets.
Then there's Mabel. At front of story, she assisted FNS to her compartment but Flo didn't seem to want her help. Did they have a quarrel?
At this point, my $'s on Mabel. But don't put much stock in my sleuthing skills. I'm usually wrong about figuring out whodunit! lol

I think something is up with Mabel. Something tells me she's hiding something but I don't know if she had anything to do with the murder.
Was it Nancy's idea to talk to the lawyer or Louisa's? I can't remember but both of them are quite young to have though of pursuing that lead!

Can't recall whose idea it was to meet w/lawyer. I'm thinking Nancy but I could be wrong.
Yeah, Mabel seems a bit suspicious to me but just as I start to like her for perp, another one has light shown upon him. Mini spoiler ahead --
Now Roland's being scrutinized and looking suspicious. A mystery authors' tool. Make many look suspicious then pick one...or two characters whodunit (or as in a popular Christie novel, make them all guilty). ;-)

Ready for the next set whenever you PI's are. ;-)
Will post, in last week, an open chat on Crepes as it was the side, side read for March and I want to follow through. Next month will have us back to reg. schedule of main title and one side. It's just that there were so many good titles and because of stuff and having a little more time, I got carried away. A good thing when it comes to books. lol

I think that if Hobkirk earned limp due to jumping from train he would have been observed limping down the platform.
I was initially suspicious of Mabel but now I'm not sure.
Roland......hmmmm, what's up with him? Does he have a dual identity? Is he blackmailing Nancy's father?
Poor Guy! What's he going to do now that he's been fired?
Love the historical tie-in's with the book - now we find they're related to Winston Churchill, lol!
Uncle Stephen needs to STAY AWAY! ;-)
