Hello Folks.Slight drop in numbers this week, but we have a nice round 15 songs to enjoy..or not...which means we get to cast the 5 votes apiece.
Today is the day, I'll be getting the first of my cataracts done this afternoon....and I can't wait for the 'fog' to lift! Unlikely as it is, there is a small possibility that the hospital may wish to keep me in over the weekend, as much as I doubt it...as I've no idea what to expect tbh, so if this round doesn't get closed on Sunday, then that's why.
Also I've been told that I'm not to overstress my sight for a few days while the eye heals up...so, using a PC could be on the banned list, for a few days. Anyway..just thought I'd mention it, should I not be available for any reason, to close this round on Sunday and set up the next one. If nothing has happened by Monday, then by all means, somebody else can set up the next round, if they want to. But anyway, fingers crossed...the result will be amazing...I really could do with clarity!
For now, enjoy the toons...and i'll see ya when I see ya! (pun intended!)

All the best Duke. Looking at a screen for a few days afterwards sounds like a no-no - I remember from my eye injury from a few years ago - all fine now - but for the first week or so, I could hardly open my eyes, let alone look at a screen. Having said that a cataract op should be far smoother than an unexpected eye trauma!

Just popping in briefly...can't see much cos I've a patch over the eye, but all went well...the op literally lasted less than 10 mins. The Police was playing in the background...so picture me humming away during the op, to "Rooooooooooxanne...you don't have to put on the red light.......!" :-)

171. 'The Nurse With Wound List'. On the first two Nurse albums appeared this list of artists, said to have been influences on the group (as it was in the beginning). Mr Stapleton later claimed some didn't even exist, but research seems to suggest all in fact, did. http://nwwlist.org is where to go; click on 'artists' then on 'named' which contains all those on the list. The albums included are merely suggested. You don't have to stick with them; anything by that artist is ok. Nothing from the 'Related' or 'More' sections please. There should be plenty of bands known to all but the most sheltered of souls! You will get kudos points for the weirder side of things though. - Tim

Evening folks.
The penultimate theme for round 8 now....so let's dive into it; this week it's Sussex's theme - Compass Points - Title must contain one (or more) of: North/South/East/West.
Another straightforward one then, but as usual, any queries, ask Sussex for clarification. Nick did ask SW if derivatives like 'Western' & 'Northern' were acceptable, but I don't think there was a reply to that yet.
