-individuals with arcs, finding one another, Preacher who has church of survivors who when someone crosses him he feeds them to the undead...I think there are monkeys that escaped from zoos that are helpful to the un infected? I remember them finding a farm and everyone being assigned jobs....thats all i have.

The sinister Preacher reminds me of 'Station Eleven' bij Emily St John Mandel... But that was about a deathly flu pandemic, not zombies...

Read it about a year ago, male author I believe.
it was a kindle book so i dont remember the cover.
