Woman Reading (is away exploring) | 157 comments I was pleasantly surprised by Joanna Bourne's Spymasters series. It's historical romantic suspense with more emphasis on the political intrigue than on the romantic pairing. Set during 1790s to about 1820 in France and England.

James Tidd | 230 comments Just finished: The Bells Told by Maureen P Cubitt. Not on Goodreads. It tells the story of a peal of bell ringing at St Peter Mancroft, Norwich which happened on 2nd May 1715. This is believed to be the first of that kind of ringing in history. The book also traces the history of change ringing developed at the church and tells many fascinating stories of its ringers.

Now started: The Life of a Song, edited by David Cheal and Jan Dalley.

PattyMacDotComma | 585 comments The Wife and the Widow by Aussie author Christian White is a suspenseful mystery that takes place on a holiday island in the off-season. No, not the idyllic tropics, but the cold, grey winter off the southern coast of Australia (next stop Antarctica). Loved it!
The Wife and the Widow by Christian White 4.5~5★ My review of The Wife and the Widow

Pam (pmunro) | 176 comments I finished Mercy (Brigham Theodore #2) / Victor Methos around 12:45 AM. I didn't enjoy it as much as the first in the series.
