Halfway through Red Sparrow, interesting choice to add recipes to a spy thriller.

I've been busy reading and have forgotten to post what I'm reading in my GoodReads groups!I'm currently reading Manhattan Is My Beat by Jeffery Deaver, Saving Max by Antoinette van Heugten and The Circular Staircase by Mary Roberts Rinehart.
Another for the James Lee Burke fans. Robicheaux, the latest in the series. It’s the first I’ve read and I enjoyed it without knowing much back story.

I don't know which Scudder novel I started with, but I loved it so much I went and bought eh entire back list. Lawrence Block is my favorite author. You should try Enough Rope if you want to see a master at work in the short story format

I don't know which Scudder novel I started with, but I loved it so much I went and bought eh entire back list. Lawrence Block is my favorite author. You should try Enough Rope if you want to see a master at work in the short story format

I have got his Scudder series, considering starting his Bernie series too.

Reading The Prisoner by Alex Berenson - Berenson makes John Wells suffer and readers eager to continue.

I've been listening to Outlander by Diana Gabaldon and I finished reading A Duke in Shining Armor by Loretta Chase yesterday.
I'm starting The Kill Artist by Brad Meltzer.
I've been meaning for ages to read some Agatha Christie but was reluctant to start in the middle of a series. This classic standalone needs no introduction.And Then There Were None is so clever that I can't imagine anyone figured it out.

Glad you enjoyed this Patty! If you decide to read other books I don't think you have to worry about reading series in order. At least that was my experience with Hercule Poirot. There may be a reference to a previous case but it doesn't detract from the current story. A couple of my favorites ... The Murder of Roger Ackroyd and The A.B.C. Murders

Just finished my third Claudia PineiroBetty Boo and found it very enjoyable. She's an author who can mix biting wit with sensitive insights to human nature; I especially respect that she allows mature protagonists to express their sexuality.

I am starting to read The Monkey's Raincoat by Robert Crais which is the first in the Elvis Cole series. I am also starting The Man in Lower Ten by Mary Roberts Rinehart, Cathedral by Nelson DeMille and The Firefly by P.T. Deutermann.
I finished The Escape Artist by Brad Meltzer. I will be starting The Woman In The Window.
I can't recommend this book highly enough.
