Willa Knight: Dweller. Slave. Non-magical being.

In Minatsol, being a dweller means that you are literally no better than dirt. In fact, dirt might actually be more useful than Willa. Her life will be one of servitude to the sols, the magic-blessed beings who could one day be chosen to become gods.

At least her outer village is far removed from the cities of the sols, and she won’t ever be forced to present herself to them... Until one small mistake changes everything, and Willa is awarded a position to serve at Blesswood, the top sol academy in the world—a position that she definitely did not earn.

Under the sudden, watchful eye of the gods, she will be tasked to serve the Abcurse brothers, five sols built of arrogance, perfection and power. They are almost gods themselves, and under their service she is either going to end up sentenced to death, or else they are going to ruin her so badly that she will wish for it.

Either way, she is in trouble.

Chapter 1-5. (view spoiler)[I like that Willa is 'cursed'. It's an interesting twist to the story. There was one line in particular that I wish this was an ebook so I could quote it but something about her hitting men in the balls several times. lol.

I also love how she is confused for a guy and then goes on an on about her boobs. :P (hide spoiler)]

I just noticed the glossary. :S Little late. But at least the terminology in this books was really hard.

What I really need in a character guide. The guys all have like 3 names. :S

Review:(view spoiler)[Okay so this was both good and kind of stupid. I don't know if I truly like Willa. Or I just find her pathetic and funny.

I also don't like how the boys have several names. It made it confusing to remember who was who.

I found the idea of Willa being cursed to be interesting. I am looking forward to the next book and I'm wondering what will happen.

I am only about 15% into this one. But I am absolutely LOVING it so far! I'm at the part where Willa just realized they thought she was a 'Will'. Lmfao. I'm guessing this is how she ends up tending to the fuck boy brothers. Lol.

I'm gonna try to delegate my time tonight between this one and Batman. So I'll get some more done.

It's hard to get a read on his character without an actual confrontation to go by. I'm also not sure if I'm glad that Emmy is there or if I wish she was still in Blesswood and out of the line of fire. I wish we knew what Cyrus's interest in her is - could he be choosing her to be a Beta? You gotta admit there is something "extra" about Emmy - like Willa, she's no ordinary dweller. (hide spoiler)]

Can someone explain why everyone is Team Rome? I was hoping that this book would fill out a few of the holes in his character, but nope, he hasn't evolved much past the quiet (possibly dumb) jock outline that we've had all along. Did I miss something?

Finished - (view spoiler)[ I don't know what to think about Pica. They obviously need her as an ally, but she is crazy AF! It's nice to see that Cyrus is officially joining the family.

I liked this book better than the last two for some reason. Perhaps because the dynamic between Emmy and Cyrus was so fun? Perhaps because they are more intelligent?? I'm not sure, but I definitely liked it more. (hide spoiler)]

Ch 10 (47%) - (view spoiler)[ Yay, Willa has a dad now too! OMG, all those kids just standing around looking through the glass is horrible! I hope Willa finds a way to free them all. It does have me wondering though, does Stavati siphon off their power too somehow?? (hide spoiler)]
Ch 15 (74%) - (view spoiler)[ I'm kind of confused about what is happening now. Willa is wondering if the water is infiltrating the rest of the land, why?? Even if it rejuvenates Minatsol, they might not be around to see it. Don't they have enough to worry about with an undead army coming for them? Also, why is heading to the Blesswood a good idea? I get that it is central and surrounded by water, but will the undead really have a problem getting to it? Plus, of all the places in Minatsol, Blesswood was the easiest place for Stavati to pop in and bring a bunch of servers from Topia with him. They will be surrounded and have problems coming at them from within too. (hide spoiler)]

Finished - (view spoiler)[ Was it just me or was that a little anticlimactic? Everyone is running toward Blesswood expecting a battle with the servers, then Willa just pops over to Stavati's house and hides behind the glass before she pops back and leaves him there - then everyone lives happily ever after. I don't know, I guess I was expecting more of a magical showdown?? (hide spoiler)]

Just starting and I'm hoping (view spoiler)[that I get a smut scene with Aros. Because I love him. And I'm also hoping I get more used to Willa's chaos. Because the first book I thought it was funny. But in the second book I wasn't for it. It was actually getting quite annoying to me. -.- (hide spoiler)]
