I was looking at editions of Stefan Zweig's Chess Story and I noticed that the original publication date is stated as 1941. I know this is consistent with the Wikipedia article (that gets the date from an article in The Economist), but the synopsis of the Penguin Random House edition (link below), as well as the introduction to my own Portuguese edition, both state that he sent the manuscript to his publishers days before his death, in 1942. In that case, the original publication date can't be earlier than 1942, surely. Is there anyone who can confirm the correct date?
