MJD I am interested in Buddhism from the perspective of the secular form of it that is characterized by Sam Harris in Waking Up: A Guide to Spirituality Without Religion and Dan Harris in 10% Happier: How I Tamed the Voice in My Head, Reduced Stress Without Losing My Edge, and Found Self-Help That Actually Works.

What perspectives are the rest of you in the group interested in?

MJD I have recently started reading the book Altered Traits: Science Reveals How Meditation Changes Your Mind, Brain, and Body. So far it's been an interesting read. I am curious if anyone else had read it or heard of it.

For those lacking the time and/or money to purchase and read the book at this time, here is a link to a podcast that discussed the book:

MJD Does anyone know of any free online meditation resources that they would recommend (meditation community, teacher, etc.)?
