Zakle | 104 comments I'm in the mood for a specific book series. One where the main character doesn't have prior knowledge of the supernatural world before being dragged into it. Preferably, I'd like this character to be in law enforcement, but I'd be fine with anything as long as they aren't knowledgeable. I'm having difficulty finding one like this.

Whispers Under Ground first in a very interesting series. The MC is a London bobby who discovers that, oops, there really IS magic out there. UF

Dying Bites FBI agent from our world gets pulled into an alternate world--one where there had not been such a thing as a serial killer until someone decided to cast a spell that resulted in werewolves and vampires suddenly going insane and turning into serial killers. UF

Sleeping With the Wolf there has been a nuclear attack by terrorists. A plane full of passengers finds itself thrown 50 years into the future. Where, guess what, some Native Americans can shape shift. PNR

Don of the Dead the MC hits her head and discovers that ghosts are real--and she has to help them get closure (usually by solving their murders.) No police, but the mc solves mysteries.

Life With a Fire-Breathing Girlfriend MC suddenly discovers that dragons exist when one decides that he's "her" special human. UF

Gnome Man's Land this is a NA (despite the age of the characters) that is very humourous. Not totally sure it's what you want. Also, no police.

Utterly Charming PNR with a lawyer mc (Sorry, don't remember a lot about this one, as it's been 8 years since I read it--I'm going through my bookshelf right now, looking to see what I have that you might like.)

Touched by an Alien not sure if you consider aliens as supernatural, but I liked this somewhat ditzy series, so thought I'd throw it out there. If you do like the aliens bit, I have more that I can suggest. (Shrugging--what can I say--I like PN books of every shape and form.)

Blue Moon this is a PNR--but it's a dark series. This MC is a female cop who discovers that werewolves do exist--and they are every bit as evil and creepy as the old stories say--and not a Taylor Lautner anywhere around. . .

Ebookworm2016 | 182 comments Kristen Callihan—Darkest London series. This is a historical paranormal series. The first book is “Firelight”. It’s actually the 3rd book, “Winterblaze” that is about the police officer who didn’t know about werewolves and such. But his story is set up in a previous book. I read them in order, so I don’t know if you could pick up the 3rd book and read it by itself. I enjoyed the series.
