Loved it! I'm currently going through a similar situation, not pregnant (yet) but working through me wanting kids and my BF not wanting them. Making the decision to give up the person you love the most, over one thing, one HUGE thing is so hard. Loved reading about how in the end he enjoined fatherhood and wanted to even have the 2nd child.
My reaction is, tears -> laughter -> more tears -> fear -> more tears. I am a mom of a 7 month old boy. This book speaks to every fear a parent can have, which is helplessness. Every page spoke to me and I felt like I was right there with the author. Loved it!
As someone who doesn't have children and is currently single, I was overwhelmed by the amount of love in this book- between parent and child, wife and husband, friends and neighbors. I thought it was an honest look at how different relationships overlap and affect one another within a family. I think the author did a wonderful job of describing all the complex emotions that she felt while they lived through this very scary & difficult time that no one expects to happen to them, and ultimately no one is prepared for. I was completely invested in the book, the entire time I was reading it I was continually praying that things would happen the way I wanted them to.
