Tae (taecilla) | 9 comments The Haskell School of Music has not been released yet. For a time a pirated version of the draft was sold on Amazon and because of that it has its own page (here). I'm tempted to delete it. Is that the right thing to do?

Also what about online legal shared drafts of upcoming books? I guess there's no place for them

Tae (taecilla) | 9 comments Sorry if I wasn't clear enough. I don't need help removing a pirated work. I'm asking which is the librarian policy regarding this matter. If I found a reference to a pirated edition should I remove it from the database?

Librarians are volunteers and cannot do anything about pirated material. That is the purview of GR staff, which is why Arenda suggested you contact them.

Tae (taecilla) | 9 comments Sorry again: I'm a librarian. I can delete books. The referenced book is a pirated edition already removed from Amazon. Should I remove it from Goodreads? I am volunteering to do it, but I want to know if that is the right thing to do

The correct thing to do, is not to take any actions as a librarian, but to the Contact Us link on the Help page to request such issues be reviewed by our legal team.
