Katrina G | 4572 comments Checking in!

I know the spread sheet isn't up yet, but these are my priority read that all have buddys

The Looking Glass Wars (The Looking Glass Wars, #1) by Frank Beddor Seeing Redd (The Looking Glass Wars, #2) by Frank Beddor ArchEnemy (The Looking Glass Wars, #3) by Frank Beddor A Walk to Remember by Nicholas Sparks Aristotle and Dante Discover the Secrets of the Universe (Aristotle and Dante Discover the Secrets of the Universe, #1) by Benjamin Alire Sáenz Fallen (Fallen, #1) by Lauren Kate Torment (Fallen, #2) by Lauren Kate Of Fire and Stars (Of Fire and Stars, #1) by Audrey Coulthurst Being Jamie Baker (Jamie Baker, #1) by Kelly Oram

These don't necessarily have buddy reads yet, but I'm planning on reading them this month:
The 5th Wave (The 5th Wave, #1) by Rick Yancey The Infinite Sea (The 5th Wave, #2) by Rick Yancey The Last Star (The 5th Wave, #3) by Rick Yancey The Merciless by Danielle Vega Paper Covers Rock by Jenny Hubbard From Bad to Cursed (Bad Girls Don't Die, #2) by Katie Alender

They all fit for the challenge, but I'll wait until we have the spreadsheet to assign them to a specific place

message 6: by Raven (new)

Raven (andromeda_horse) I think I can join you for 5th Wave, but I still need to make a list of books I am going to read. I should stop procrastinating sigh.

No rush! I mainly posted mine so I can keep track of what buddy reads I have lol

Jamie | 12271 comments I can happily read books for these books for the first 10 lines

Long (1 of 2)
Time –PLEASE I really want to read this one the most!
Remember (1 of 2)
That (1 of 2)
Make (1 of 2)
Chance
They'd
Happy
For

But
With
One

I can also do (but not as excited for):
Ago
Can
Knew

Otherwise I will be reading books that will help spell things out. I have a few BRs that will speed up points for these at least

**Also I didn't count up any 1-2 letter words or 'the' and 'and' since those are really easy to do by anyone at anytime. :)

The Last Star is set for a BR today. I so since there is a 14 day lenancy you could still join if you read it early in the month.

Yeah but I need to re-read the first two, so I want to do it as a series read. More points that way too :)

On a serious note, who's making the spreadsheet? I am making a list of all the books I am going to do. I am still stuck on first line, but I will hunt for available BRs. I have about 4 BRs in May, if we include 5th Wave too.

That's so nice of her!

message 28: by Jamie (new)

Jamie | 12271 comments Maybe just something simple for this one I think. Claim spot if you will be reading it within about a week for full words on one sheet.
And since we can mix/match our books for the spell-it-outs and chorus we cna have a second sheet for books that do not have a specific full word and when we cna make one, post and change it up then. :)

message 29: by Katrina G (new)

Katrina G | 4572 comments Also we need to think about what word we want to skip on. Personally, I would vote for "I" since it pops up so often, and we have quite a few books to read before we even make it to the chorus

That's a neat spreadsheet! It will do. I must go and focus on the current challenge now, I am talking too much lol

Yes but for I we just need an I anywhere in a title which is really easy. Since the work can be part of another word.

We should make it to the chorus for sure (once we finish between 20-25 books which is only 3-4 books each we start it possibly). WHile I is up a lot and I won't disregard it, Bye is another tricky one. Since we would have to find a book with those 3 letters together. But if we only do the first chorus that is only twice (same with die). So it is a toss-up to me. Depending how far we get.

Karen Barber | 13291 comments Hi all.checking in. Natalie on my current team is putting together a spreadsheet which I’ll copy as soon as I can. I have some BRs planned and can let you know in an hour or so once kids are in bed. Trying to look for words where I can but I’m pretty open to slotting in wherever.

message 39: by Katrina G (new)

Katrina G | 4572 comments I thought it had to be a word that started with I. My mistake then. I thought those were going to be a bit more difficult, so I'm open to other suggestions :)

message 40: by Katrina G (new)

Katrina G | 4572 comments I think it would be better to have all the words/lines on the spreadsheet so we have a clear view of what he have and what we don't. I just don't know how to format it so it's not a big jumbled mess

Jamie | 12271 comments It should be able to edit... If not I will change in a bit when I get back to my pc.

levee can be broken up though into 2-3 letters at a time. So le and then vee or lev, ee. But yes another to consider depending how easy we can find those combos.

If we can find multiple books with the word "leave" in it that would help because we can use le or ve and would just need another e.

Jamie | 12271 comments For the spreadsheet we need to decide how we want it though too. Lakhsesis likes it. Karen wants to let Natalie make whatever she is working on.
