Natalie (esaria) | 4273 comments Hi there!

I created a spreadsheet for use by all the teams as the challenge was really confusing for me to understand until I put it in spreadsheet form. If you'd like to use it you can find it here:
https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/...

I've got a few different "worksheets" on this, which can be accessed via the tabs at the bottom. These include a basic "info" spreadsheet, an Progress (word-by-word) sheet, an "EXAMPLE" spreadsheet which explains how the Progress (word-by-word) sheet works, a Progress (sentence-by-sentence) sheet, and a "word count" sheet where I did a count of all the times each word appears in the song to make it easier to choose which word your team might like to pass on.

If you want to use it, please follow these steps to make a copy for your own use:
1. Click "File" (top left corner)
2. Click "Make a copy"
3. Fill in the details for what you want it to be called, where you want it to be stored in your own Google Drive, and whether you want to share it.
Note that in the copy you make there will be a "SHARE" blue button on the top-right corner of the spreadsheet. You can change how it is shared to "Link sharing" so that anyone with the link to your copy of the spreadsheet can view/comment/edit

If you have any questions please let me know! (Hopefully I covered everything...)

Hoping this will help everyone for the challenge - as it IS a bit of a doozy @_@

(and I am 100% copy-pasting this message in all the team threads because otherwise I have to retype up something massive each time :P)

Abby | 5404 comments Wow Natalie! This is amazing!

message 7: by Natalie (new)

Natalie (esaria) | 4273 comments Thanks! c:
Spent most of yesterday trying to put it together (making spreadsheets is great procrastination ;D) so hopefully it'll help!

And of course you can delete any columns (etc) that are irrelevant to your team once you've made your copy - I just wanted to have everything there to start with XD Hopefully I didn't forget anything in the spreadsheet!

message 8: by Abby (new)

Abby | 5404 comments Team, I'm making a copy of this. The link will be available at the top of the thread.

Natalie this so awesome! Thank you for sharing it with us!!

Abby | 5404 comments We can go ahead and start planning while we wait for everyone else to check in.

message 13: by Ashley (new)

Ashley (itsmedaisy) | 1412 comments Sounds good to me! I started putting some books together that can complete whole words the other day, I will get my real computer out and post some of them to see if anyone wants to BR any.

Anyone have an idea of what word they want to skip? "The" appears the most but its a pretty easy word to find in titles, I think we would have to spell levee out every time which would take forever. What do you guys think?

I was thinking levee too. V's are hard to find.

Tayane Cristie (taycristie) Checking in!

message 16: by Tayane (new)

Tayane Cristie (taycristie) Do you guys have any books planned already? I have a few for line 5.

I also think "levee" is a good word for us to pass, as it appears so many times.

message 17: by Abby (new)

Abby | 5404 comments I can't really plan ahead since I'm part of so many other challenges that go week by week.

message 18: by Tayane (new)

Tayane Cristie (taycristie) Ok :) So I'm gonna read for line 5 (And maybe they'd be happy for a while): Maybe Someday (Maybe, #1) by Colleen Hoover for "maybe", They Both Die at the End by Adam Silvera for "they'd" (it doesn't have to include the 'd) and More Happy Than Not by Adam Silvera for "happy".

I also wanted to read February (Calendar Girl, #2) by Audrey Carlan for "February" on line 6, but it depends if I'll be able to read the first book 'till the end of this month xD

And I have a buddy read for The Last Namsara (Iskari, #1) by Kristen Ciccarelli in May, and I could use it for "ago" on line 1 using this edition A Caçadora de Dragões (Iskari, #1) by Kristen Ciccarelli

Awesome! Don't forget to add them to the spreadsheet.

message 20: by Ashley (new)

Ashley (itsmedaisy) | 1412 comments I hope I understand these rules right. I've read them a thousand times but sometimes I still wonder!! I went through the first 5 lines and found these

I was thinking this for any of the "and" A Court of Frost and Starlight (A Court of Thorns and Roses, #3.1) by Sarah J. Maas

and for "had" Ace of Shades (The Shadow Game #1) by Amanda Foody I might read this before then, if so then Kissed By Shadows (Kissed By Shadows Series #1) by Lola St. Vil

for "be" Rebel's Blade (The Aermian Feuds, #1) by Frost Kay

for "me" The Path of Flames (Chronicles of the Black Gate, #1) by Phil Tucker

I need to work my way past line 5 today!

message 21: by Abby (new)

Abby | 5404 comments Tayane, would you like to buddy read Maybe Someday? I could use it for the word Day.

message 22: by Tayane (new)

Tayane Cristie (taycristie) Abby wrote: "Tayane, would you like to buddy read Maybe Someday? I could use it for the word Day."

Sure! I can do it at the beginning of May, if that's okay for you.

message 32: by Natalia (last edited Apr 27, 2018 12:54AM) (new)

Natalia | 1585 comments So far I'm planning to read Bad Romeo (Starcrossed, #1) by Leisa Rayven This Is What Happy Looks Like (This is What Happy Looks Like, #1) by Jennifer E. Smith That Summer by Sarah Dessen They Both Die at the End by Adam Silvera Lock and Key by Sarah Dessen Dating You / Hating You by Christina Lauren The Names They Gave Us by Emery Lord

Natalia | 1585 comments Abby wrote: "It's gonna be an exhausting month, that's for sure."

Yes definitely

message 34: by Tayane (new)

Tayane Cristie (taycristie) Natalia, I think you should use the "and" on Lock and Key for line 5. We should try to complete lines as fast as possible.
Also, I believe you won't be able to use They Both Die At the End for line 2, as it doesn't have any words starting with "I".

message 35: by Tayane (new)

Tayane Cristie (taycristie) And yes, it will be pretty exhausting xD but I'm excited anyway

message 36: by Natalia (new)

Natalia | 1585 comments I moved Lock and Key to line 5
Sorry I've remember the name wrong. I'll use it for A Al final mueren los dos

message 37: by Ashley (new)

Ashley (itsmedaisy) | 1412 comments I added some of mine to the doc, I may move some around depending what I can find buddies for.

It's gonna be crazy this month, but it's still a lot of fun :D

message 40: by Ashley (new)

Ashley (itsmedaisy) | 1412 comments Hi Erin! Let us know if you have any questions! This month’s challenge is throwing me for a loop, I think I’ve read the rules at least 20 times

message 41: by erin (new)

erin (magicalmenagerie) | 10 comments Hey everyone, thank you for being so welcoming! But I'm really sorry to say that I'm going to message about switching to a Just for Fun team. I have finals next month which will take a lot of my time, and after reflecting over it, I don't think it would be fair to stay on this team if I won't be able to contribute enough books :) I hope someone else signs up for medium to fill my spot so that you can get the last team member you deserve. Thank you!! It was fun being on this team for one day, and I know y'all will do great on this challenge!

Hello Team Jerusalem, just wanted to let you know that Erin is moving to a Fun team, so she will be leaving you. I will look for a replacement though ☺

message 43: by Tayane (new)

Tayane Cristie (taycristie) That's okay :/ Thanks Erin and Sarah!

message 44: by Abby (new)

Abby | 5404 comments I noticed some of you claiming words with single letters found in the title. Sarah has said that the words in the title must start with that letter. For example, Lucia claimed the word "A" with the book Fallen. This will not work, as Fallen doesn't start with A.

message 45: by Ashley (new)

Ashley (itsmedaisy) | 1412 comments I just double checked mine, I don't think I have any like that, let me know if I missed one and I will change it! As soon as it slows down at work in a bit, I am going to go through and add some more.

message 46: by Abby (new)

Abby | 5404 comments I've played around with the spreadsheet. We each have an assigned color to our name which can be found on the "Info & Such" tab. When you use the drop down tab to select your name under "Reader", the cell will automatically turn that color.

I've also made it where when a word is finished, the row will black out.

Em⋆ | 670 comments I'm sorry! I didn't know that. I'll change it when I get home :)
