Patricia | 971 comments It's very hard to do. My daughter is bi-polar and I'm the person she always goes after. I've put several states distance between us at this point.

Patricia | 971 comments She goes through all motions to make it look like she's getting help but it stops there. She's on meds that don't work but won't tell her doctor's because "they keep her thin." She knows they aren't working too. She is never manic but always depressive. I believe at this point she has to want to help herself. Kids know exactly which buttons to push to hurt parents and it becomes abusive. I have an autoimmune disease that can't be treated. I needed to start taking care of myself. She's 30 and needs to do the same.

Stephanie Allen (stephanieanneallen) | 14 comments Hey Pat! i am so sorry for the situation u r in. Very tough. Yes I think its time for u to take care of u. She's 30 and its time for her to take care of herself. I know it's hard but u need to let go. Sometimes people r so mentally ill that they R unaware that a problem even exists. Give her one of my books and helpfully that will help. But in the meantime stay strong and never give up on yourself!
